Pleased to join my co-authors Alison Roh, @MedicareMeddler @DrBrian4Health in @HealthAffairs Forefront discussing a model of continuum of care for individuals eligible for both Medicare and Medicaid. As beneficiaries' needs evolve, policy should support appropriate movement across care models and ensure that coverage, care coordination, and support services remain aligned. We need to have this discussion; it is a critical time for Medicare and Medicaid policy. #HealthPolicy #Medicaid healthaffairs.org/content/fo…

Honored to join the @AllHealthPolicy for dinner last night. The occasion was the Bipartisan Learning Communities Congressional Fellowship dinner. The evening brought together current fellows, alumni, and senior leaders for a candid, off-the-record conversation on health care policy. The fellows at my table kept up a rolling fire (in a good way!) of sharp questions, showing both a deep understanding of how our system works and a real curiosity about where it’s headed. It was a strong reflection on them, for their knowledge and judgment, and on AHP’s wisdom in selecting its fellows and the members who employ them. It was great to meet the next generation of health policy leaders here in DC. I think we will be in good hands. #BLCFellowship

Listened in yesterday on a fascinating discussion with Michael Chernew of MedPAC, led by Demetrios Kouzoukas from Paragon Health Institute. MedPAC has a tremendous influence on federal healthcare programs, so it’s always good to understand better how it works. Kudos to Demetrios, Michael and @Paragon_Inst for a very informative discussion.

I had the honor of working on the Dole-Kemp campaign here in DC in 1996, and during that time met Senator Dole a couple of times; he was humorous and quick-witted. You could see what hard work he put in for the Senate and for us all, but he kept his humor about him, even in tough times. I only crossed paths with Senator Graham a handful of times, but every time he struck me as similarly witty, grounded, and a genuine patriot. Leaders like him are far too rare these days. He will be sorely missed by the Senate, I am sure, and by us all certainly.

Deeply honored to keynote @MayoClinicHS's Rural Health Symposium. Rural communities deserve the same quality of care as any urban center - and strong public-private partnership, grounded in good policy, is how we get there. Thank you Mayo for your continued leadership on this. #RuralHealthcare #MayoClinicHealthSystem

Grateful to Acadian for the invitation to join their leadership retreat in Lake Charles. Emergency medical services and mobile healthcare are the backbone of our response system - the men and women of Acadian are out there saving lives every single day. I’m inspired by these team members long-term work at Acadian in many, many cases. This is a place that inspires loyalty! #EMS #MobileHealthcare #HealthcareLeadership @AcadianNews

Thank you to @AHIPCoverage for a tremendous Executive Leadership Summit in Arizona last winter. The health insurance sector is navigating enormous change - coverage, affordability, MA, Medicaid - and the leadership in that room is up to the challenge. Important conversations at a critical moment.

I was an honor to join the annual Medicaid Coalition strategic policy planning conference in Miami last at the close of the year. Medicaid serves over 80 million Americans — getting the policy right matters enormously. Grateful for the thoughtful leaders in this coalition who take that responsibility seriously. #Medicaid #HealthPolicy

Great end to a busy year at the Caribbean Health Economics Symposium. Many thanks to Steven Parente for his leadership. Rigorous, evidence-based policy discussion is exactly what this moment in healthcare demands. I was happy to lend my perspective to the academic discussions. Thank you to the organizers and fellow participants for a genuinely substantive exchange. #HealthEconomics #HealthPolicy #CHES @HEALntwk @STParente

Kicked off 2026 in San Francisco with Leadership Institute during #JPMHC26. The conversations around AI, drug pricing, and the future of value-based care were exactly the right way to set the tone for the year ahead. A must-attend for any serious healthcare leader. Becky Harrington always brings together a thoughtful crowd! @rharringtonSF

Wonderful time helping teach class at @Georgetown with @McCourtSchool students digging into the real-world mechanics of federal health policy along with professor Margaret Weichert. Good to remember old times! And the thoughtfulness in that room gives me confidence about where healthcare leadership is headed. Thank you for having me. @margaretweicher #HealthPolicy #Georgetown

Thoroughly enjoyed returning to @kenanflagler as a guest lecturer last month. Discussing the intersection of federal policy, regulation, and business strategy with MBA students is very rewarding. The questions they asked were outstanding. Thanks to Professor @DrBrian4Health for the opportunity, and the introduction to @nealsdeli and @merrittsgrill!

Great meeting today with the @kenanflagler Industry Advisory Board alongside the always-sharp @DrBrian4Health. Many, many promising technologies and enterprises are being developed at this joint UNC-NC State program. The future of healthcare policy is being shaped by the next generation of leaders coming out of this program. Proud to be part of this work and lend what advice I can to these up-and-coming researchers and technologists at Lampe Joint Department of Biomedical Engineering. @jointbme @NCState @unc #HealthcareLeadership

I had incredible day at @CampPendleton attending the @USMC's 250th birthday celebration. Watching the amphibious demonstration with thousands of Marines, veterans, and their families gave me a better understanding of what these warriors do for our country. Hearing from an impressive group of leaders, including Vice President Vance and Secretary Hegseth, was great. A sunny day in Southern California to celebrate 250 years of service and sacrifice. Happy Birthday, Marines. 🇺🇸#USMC250
