Stand up for who/what you believe in even when it's not popular.
It's ok to be right early.
Hasan helped democrats win primaries by leading his community to fundraise, knock doors, and work the phones. He then had to bite his tongue when a candidate he helped win a primary had to bow to the negative framing by mainstream media and Republicans.
He became the boogeyman.
He was the lead on every Fox News show. His name was on the tongue of the president of the United States and the prime minister of Israel.
He stood firm and continued to push his agenda all while his life was being threatened.
He has earned this victory lap.

I know a lot of you are disappointed in me, but,
you have to look at the big picture.
I'm hoping that as long as folk aren't trying to physically hurt you or yours, you can set aside your differences for now, and unify in this fight.
Look, you may not like everyone on the team, but you got to know it's going to take all of us.
