It's not a debate. They are the same species if they can breed and produce offspring which remains fertile over generations.

Replying to @Joseeloma_ @Exa2108
Geesh. This is exactly the circumstance where the animals would be defined as the same species.

When there is no definition of a species, determining interspecific gene flow would be quite difficult.
-> Aphenodytes forsteri
-> Ara macao
-> Harpia harpyja
-> Oxypogon lindenii

We might as well call it the Theory of Adaptation or the Theory of Genetic Drift since the idea is now so loosely connected to the utility of the theory as an explanation for current and past biodiversity. There is nothing here that is distinct as an example of evolution.
Esto pasa cuando los tontos intentan pensar

Proof is for math. We are talking about science. There may be good evidence, but because of the inherent flaws of experimental design and in the conclusions of scientists as individuals, there is no proof.
I fear there is a portion of communication which is lost in translation
Replying to @Zeke_Darwin
This is the exact reason why the public often buys the Science™️ spewed by reporters.
Biology is not real, and it never provides proof.
Biology is abstract, the application of the Scientific Method to the narrow portion of life which is both universally observable and testable.

That's the definition of a species. Different species bred can sometimes produce a hybrid like a mule or a liger. But it would be rare for the hybrid offspring the retain the ability to reproduce.
Replying to @hector86mcl @bitacorabeagle
Evolution includes extinction. Adaptation by natural selection is not interchangeable with evolution.
