As Earth Day approaches, it’s worth asking: what do we define as “good farming”?
This article challenges policies that favour clean, treeless fields over resilience, indigenous knowledge, and child wellbeing. FMNR shows us another path.

Children too can contribute to restoring the environment. They too can inform, influence and educate. #CRIFSUP is moulding #ClimateAction agents by training 1600 children on #FMNR & environmental conservation.

🎉 Fantastic news @dfat @SenatorWong @PatConroy1 As a major per capita emitter - Australia has a responsibility to help poorer communities adapt to climate change. Nature-based solutions like #FMNR need to be part of the mix to also help with their #FoodSecurity
We are delighted to welcome Australia 🇦🇺 back to GCF! Thank you for announcing your commitment to support the GCF-2 replenishment at the Pledging Conference today! @dfat @DCCEEW #InspireMoreClimateAction

@Environment/#TonyRinaudo/#FMNR/#NaturalRegeneration/#FoodSystems~In Niger alone six million hectares of denuded farmland have seen tree density increase from an average of four trees per hectare in 1980 to at least 40 trees per hectare today.
#FMNR empowers farmers to make positive contributions to soil fertility, reduce erosion,
water infiltration and storage. #Soil science is vital for enhancing crop yields and biodiversity🤎
#FMNR tackles unsustainable consumption of trees, by teaching farming communities to restore them from their living roots and manage sustainably in the future. Roots vs root causes! #naturepositive
Unsustainable patterns of consumption & production are root causes of triple planetary crises of:
- Climate change
- Biodiversity & nature loss
- Pollution & waste

👍 Great to see a commitment for more Nature Based Solutions is included in the plan. @WorldVisionDe works with @giz_gmbh and @BMZ_Bund to train farmers and build community resilience to climate change through #FMNR across Africa 🌳 tackling several #SDG targets along the way!
Germany has pledged an additional 7 million Euro through @UNDP’s flagship initiative, #ClimatePromise to support developing countries in defining credible long-term pathways for achieving the goals of the Paris Agreement.

💯 we're bringing back mangroves with Solomon Islands communities using #FMNR @WVAsia we're looking for partners to help us scale it up ⬆️ wvi.org/stories/solomon-isla…
Mangroves are one of the most powerful nature-based solutions to the #ClimateCrisis. Their root system defends us against extreme weather events.
By safeguarding mangroves, we protect ourselves.
