Those who were calling for Yoro to be given a run in the team many weeks ago were absolutely right!
He has been the rare bright spot recently
You can tell he’s growing in confidence as well
Watch the game for yourself and everything will be clear. Great unbiased analysis
Also look how hard Dalot tries to get back for a lost cause compared to players that were even close to help. Yet he is getting slaughtered for it
Sometimes Dalot gets too much stick. You can tell he was instructed to stay high(LW position) when we have the ball here. He is providing width here when Kobbie loses it and we are hit. Heaven should read that better

Been saying this
The guy narrating the Dalot video literally misrepresents the moment we lost the ball. It’s funny because if you ignore him & actually watch for yourself it’s clear Dalot starts running back as soon as we lost it
Then compare his recovery to our other players

The guy narrating the video is saying we’ve lost the ball when the ball is still with us. Moment we lose the ball he starts running. I can agree he could try harder. But that’s a sprint where you know for sure you are not making up a half of the pitch worth of distance by trying to run harder, so I get it.
It would be nice to see him try harder but he is not getting there anyway. So that’s the run of someone who knows he is already too far behind play. Effort or not he is already dead considering his position

We threw out tactics in that second half and went to war
Cunha leading the charge was fitting. The red card was oddly fitting. Carrick almost losing his cool on the touchline was oddly appropriate. What a huge win
Who knows where this story goes…

Michael Carrick was absolutely losing it on the sidelines at one point. 😭😭
Who has that video? I need to see it again! 😭🙏🏻

Many times I see tacticos talking like going from fast paced game to slow game is some kind of improvement.
I don’t understand it.
United/Old Trafford would always demand fast football. Sure you have to combine that with good defense and adding control when it’s needed. But, slowing down the game for 90 mins and passing for the sake of passing ain’t it for me.

136 starts at RB with 57% win rate
90 starts elsewhere with 37% win rate

Rafael top with 67% (minimum 15 starts)
Dalot at 57% very respectable considering era he’s played - lot higher than RB’s playing in same era like AWB & Mazraoui
*Also included in assists if player fouled for penalty that is converted by someone else etc*

How does he win percentage at right back rank against the other right backs in United history Daniel? Neville top I’d assume?

Think this is an important read for United fans. He says a lot and I think the “factors outside dressing room” relates to the near unique pressure players are under. I think the mental pressure feeds in physically and tactically. An under explored aspect of the club’s strife.

It’s been the case for years. Last night was such a perfect encapsulation. As soon as OT woke up after the penalty it was like a switch was flipped. But many people see that lack of confidence and hesitancy as “not working hard” - lot of ex players too, who should know better.
Carrick must abandon the slow tempo stuff we had going on in some games
I need fast spaced on-edge football like we played in that second half yesterday
You get the crowd going and magic tends to follow
Carrick was completely right here
Cunha will already miss a game with the red card and was risking further punishment by remaining on pitch side afterwards
Matheus Cunha arguing and fuming at Michael Carrick.
Harry Maguire complaining and moaning at Michael Carrick, while Fletcher had to calm him down.
Notice the pattern?
Yes, these players have no respect for Michael Carrick, they do not fear him, and they do not rate him.
This was a disgraceful moment from Matheus Cunha and Harry Maguire on national TV.
I hope Michael Carrick has the balls to punish them most especially Cunha by sitting him on the bench against Aston Villa.
Very simple
Well played Diogo
No surprise manager after manager love him
