In two days, I am headed to court to defend myself against an unlawful protective order.
Why did someone throw a protective order at me in the first place?
Because I burned an unlawful and useless cease-and-desist letter after I wrote an article about the now-debunked Sea Tow call.
The Sea Tow call, which was edited and manipulated, along with a transcript, was used to weaponize racist activists against the young men who were falsely accused of murdering Nolan Wells.
My article was factual. It pointed out the untrustworthiness of the information being circulated and questioned the qualifications and credibility of those involved. It also highlighted how this entire situation contributed to the threats, harassment, harm, and defamatory statements being directed toward the young men in Ocean Springs.
I have been a prominent voice in this case, and because of that, just like in the Karmelo Anthony case, I have become a target.
Shortly after publishing my article, I was sent a cease-and-desist letter from a law firm that wasn’t even licensed to practice law in the state of Texas.
So I burned it. On video.
That prompted a SECOND reaction: a protective order that, in my opinion, never should have been granted in the first place.
On November 6, I, along with an army of security personnel and my attorney, will be headed to Houston for the hearing.
The attorney involved in the case against me has already been accused in court filings of submitting fake and doctored evidence against me. My attorneys have presented evidence challenging the authenticity of those materials and have filed motions for sanctions.
And yet, the protective order against me was STILL extended.
Independent journalists had better start paying attention, because considering what just happened yesterday, I believe you’re going to see a whole lot more of this.
When my attorney attended the previous hearings in this case, which I was permitted to attend via Zoom, he was screamed at, harassed, and followed throughout the courthouse and even to his own vehicle.
Meanwhile, Quanell X and Candice Matthews behaved like absolute animals, seemingly more interested in getting their clicks and views than conducting themselves like civilized adults inside a courthouse.
More than likely, the same thing is going to happen on Friday.
Except this time, I WILL BE THERE.
And I fully anticipate that they will use my presence as another opportunity to get in my face, create a spectacle, and manufacture more content for their social media audiences.
I have received an abundance of nasty messages, harassment, and threats because of this case. That is precisely why I will have extensive security with me to protect myself from any unhinged individuals who decide to take things too far.
I will not be intimidated out of reporting. I will not be bullied into silence. And I certainly will not apologize for publishing factual information simply because it makes certain people uncomfortable.
If independent journalists can be dragged into court and subjected to protective orders for reporting on matters of public interest and publicly rejecting attempts to silence them, every independent journalist in this country should be paying attention.
Please keep my attorneys, my security team, and me in your prayers as we head into court on Friday.

"The federal indictment against state Sen. Louise Lucas, D-Portsmouth, can be boiled down to three broad questions:

FBI Director Kash Patel just walked up to the podium at the press conference on America’s fraud crackdown in Minnesota and dropped a legendary line.
Patel looked directly into the cameras to make sure his message couldn’t be twisted by the media.

And how are federal workers involved with Renew American Democracy (RAD), a group whose primary mission is to a fundamental rewrite of our Constitution?
Turns out, a certain federal workers alliance, FWAD, is working closely with RAD on their goal to rewrite America.
FWAD is the Federal Workers Alliance for Democracy, formerly known as "Federal Workers Against DOGE."
RAD's published strategy lists FWAD among its endorsers. But FWAD isn't just an endorser. It is a founding partner of the Nationwide Deliberation Campaign (NDC). The goal is "a national People's Proposal of structural reforms" - which, in RAD's other videos and strategy documents, is planned to occur just after the federal government has been declared illegitimate. In a nutshell: with no federal government, a representative (read: DEI) panel of citizens will be assembled, their input collated and stitched into a new constitution for the Fourth Founding.
But that is not the only path for restructuring. A concept note also proposes "Constitutional amendments," with "state ratification strategies." Either way, all evidence points to that the NGOs in the Block lane know their goal is to rewrite American governance.

Erin Strotman originally faced 20 charges involving nine premature babies, including multiple malicious-wounding counts.
CBS 6 reported that Henrico Commonwealth’s Attorney Shannon Taylor personally negotiated the plea agreement that followed. Strotman pleaded no contest to nine Class 6 felony child-abuse charges — and under the agreement, prosecutors could seek no more than three years of jail time.
The judge sentenced Strotman to 45 years.
But because of the deal Shannon Taylor negotiated, 42 years were suspended and Strotman will serve just three.
The judge wrote that those guidelines “fail to take into consideration the extent of the mental and physical harm” done to these most vulnerable babies. The law allowed 45 years. The Judge imposed 45 years. Shannon Taylor’s deal is what capped it at three.
