People praise The Batman for being “dark.”
That’s not what makes it work.
Its real strength is that Batman spends most of the movie being wrong.
He thinks vengeance means intimidation. The Riddler thinks vengeance means exposure. The film gradually reveals that both men have confused punishment with justice.
The flooding climax isn’t just spectacle.
It’s Batman finally understanding the difference.
That’s why the ending works.
BATMAN’S BIGGEST SUPERPOWER IS PLOT ARMOR.
Batman has survived fights against Superman, Darkseid, and beings far beyond human strength.
But take away his preparation time, gadgets, and backup plans.
How long does Batman actually last against a fully powered Superman?

Within one week, they changed the lock of my father's shop. They took his car and gave it to my father's younger brother's son. They said he will be using it to maintain the family
They told us to pack out of the house. Our own house. The house where I grew up
My mother knelt down and begged. They said if we don't pack, they will bring juju
We left. We packed our things in Ghana-must-go bags and went to my mother's younger sister's one room in Ojoo. Three of us in one room

I was sitting in a café in Kampala last week, just killing time before a meeting. A guy around my age sat at the next table with his laptop open and a tired look on his face. After a while he glanced over and asked if the Wi-Fi was always this slow.
We started talking, he told me he had quit his job three months ago to try something on his own. No big savings, no clear plan, just the feeling that he couldn’t keep doing the same thing. Some days he felt free, other days he felt completely lost.
I told him I understood that feeling more than he knew. We sat there for almost an hour exchanging quiet truths that most people only keep in their heads. When he finally stood up to leave, he said, “Talking to a stranger sometimes feels safer than talking to people who already have an opinion about you.” I sat with that sentence long after he left.
It is always easier for us to open up to total strangers because we resign from the fear of them judging us basing on what they already know about us, strangers give the most honest and unbiased opinions ever.

Tony Stark’s Real Sacrifice Happened Before the Snap
Everyone remembers the final moment in Endgame.
What they miss is that Tony had already made the harder choice earlier. He had a family, a daughter, and a life he finally wanted to protect. Walking away wasn’t selfish — it was the first time he had something worth staying alive for. When he agreed to reverse the Snap, he wasn’t choosing between courage and fear. He was choosing between the future he built and the millions of futures Thanos took away. By the time he snapped his fingers, the decision was already made.
If Tony had found another way to win, do you think he would have taken it?
