Interesting question came my way. Should I sell or grade some of my 30th CC before the UPC is released? Here is my opinion:
Let's look at the bigger picture for a second.
The UPC is currently selling for around $450. At that price, I believe most collectors will keep it sealed rather than open it.
However, those looking to make a profit may see an opportunity to break it down and sell the contents individually.
Here's the current breakdown:
29 Booster Packs: $11.50 each = $333.50
Both Promo Cards: Approximately $165 combined
CC Pack: Currently around $145, although I could see this dropping closer to $100.
Total estimated resale value: $643.50, or $598.50 if the CC pack drops to $100.
That's a pretty significant difference compared to the UPC's current $450 market price.
Here's where things get interesting.
Once sellers recognize this opportunity, I expect more UPCs to be broken down and their contents sold individually. That creates additional supply, especially for the booster packs and promos.
And what happens when supply increases faster than demand? Prices start coming down.
The current $598–$643 breakdown value isn't necessarily sustainable, especially if more people start doing the exact same thing. Not to mention selling fees, shipping costs, and the time it takes to move everything.
I believe we're going to see downward pressure on these individual items as more supply enters the market.
Long story short, I would sell rather than grade and hold.
I opened a box of Crimson Haze because when I was transferring them, I accidentally tore the seal. To my surprise , this came out of the box. I bought this from @SakurasCardShop Check out his new game out on iOS and Android. Scalp City
No way! This is just the first box. I need to make a video and record the other ones! Thank you @SakurasCardShop

Even though it shows "x4"? That's pretty expensive of it's only 1. I think maybe you can order 1 of the 4 set bundle.
You know life is good when you see this message @SakurasCardShop
It's been awhile since I posted anything. Here's my latest video about Pokemon market. I hope you get something out of this.
