My dog, Minna, passed away on Monday. She was absolutely amazing and meant the world to me. With all the bullshit going on in politics and the world, she gave me clarity and pure joy. If you have a pet, please give them a hug for Minna. And cherish every moment.

Good on McMorrow

We as a country can’t risk allowing your white supremacist campaign to succeed.
Michigan — we can’t risk sending Abdul El-Sayed to the Senate.

Mike Rogers is running the most racist campaign in the country and will be a vote to fund Trump’s internment camps. Supporting him in the name of concerns about bigotry is ludicrous.
.@Timodc: "I could not be happier to endorse Abdul El-Sayed over the human trash that is Mike Rogers."

Terrifying footage of settler terrorists attacking and threatening to kill international activists and journalists @the_andrey_x and @infinite_jaz
🚨 TODAY: Settler-terrorists attacked Andrey, Jasper and me. This video shows the assault. Andrey was severely beaten and lost consciousness several times in front of police. Despite this, he was denied hospital treatment. He was put in an ambulance—but instead of being taken to hospital, he was taken to a police station. He is still there, arrested and being denied medical care. Jasper and I were also beaten. Jasper was then pepper-sprayed and arrested.

Very much concur with this take. It’s by far the most efficient use of a single donation
Lots of people are asking me where to give their money - if you can only do one race, I’d give what you can to @MaryPeltola Several reasons: 1) It’s a small state, so your money goes further per expected senate vote 2) Direct donations buy 19x ads per dollar than committees due to the unit rule - this also frees up the DSCC and SMP to put their money on states with smaller IE/coord ad price spreads and frees them up to spend more on digital 3) it’s likely going to be close! It’s not too late! Any money you send today will get spent immediately and will provide real relief to an overworked campaign workers across a bunch of orgs! secure.actblue.com/donate/mp…

Huge democratic breakthrough in Serbia tonight, followed by a Lula win in Brazil! Amazing day for democratic renewal. Bad day for illiberal populists.

Congratulations, President @LulaOficial, on your re-election in Brazil. The relationship between Canada and Brazil has flourished under our partnership. Let’s seize this opportunity to make it even stronger, together — to create major new trade opportunities, protect the environment, and build greater prosperity for both our peoples.

Every Republican contractor in Florida would go bankrupt with mandatory e-verify but keep pretending it’s bad when it doesn’t save you $10k on your roof replacement.
Byron Donalds is going to end welfare for illegals and mandate E-Verify for Florida employers. That alone should be enough for every single Florida resident with common sense to get out and vote for Byron Donalds. Early voting has started. Election Day is November 3rd. VOTE!

Huge respect to the organizers, activists and voters of Brazil and Serbia. These results are due to so much work and they give us so much hope. There is nothing inevitable about the far right.

#BREAKING: Charles Blow: No one in all of media is dealing with this in the proper way. The Muslim Brotherhood is almost 100 years old. Do you know when the United States classified them as a terrorist group? Earlier this year. Donald Trump did it. There have been 10 presidents between when she [El-Sayed’s mom] supported them and now. Not a single one of them, Democrat or Republican, decided to deem the Muslim Brotherhood a terrorist group. Do you know how many terrorist attacks on American soil the Muslim Brotherhood is responsible for? Zero. But if we’re gonna say that children are responsible for their parents, Donald Trump’s dad was was arrested at a Klan rally in Queens in 1927. Are we saying that Donald Trump is responsible for his dad’s actions? 😳

“And they've never given you the Nobel Peace Prize, by the way, which is a disgrace. So, what I came up with, Mr. President, is a new award. It's called the Man of the Century award, OK?”

He's such a grotesque POS.
Trump on Amy Acton: "If what the mother said about the daughter is half right, she has no right even running for the governor of Ohio..." KC: What about what the daughter said about the mother? TRUMP: "I don’t know what she said." KC: "That the mother remained married to her stepfather who sexually abused her when she was 12 years old." TRUMP: "When did she make that statement? Was it just recently?" KC: "Years ago. He was charged with it."

“In late spring 2020, a source I knew to be reliable called me with a story,” writes Matthew Cole. “The Dutch government had hacked into Jared Kushner’s phone and monitored him as he accessed a Dubai-based bank account. What was odd, the source said, was that the money in the account—hundreds of millions of dollars—had come from a bank in Azerbaijan. Most importantly, Kushner appeared to have transferred significant amounts of money from the Dubai account to other individuals, including a warlord, a mercenary and a one-time hit man. The story sounded preposterous, I told my source. And yet. Six months later, I found myself speaking with someone else about the UAE government and their use of mercenaries in conflicts around the Middle East and Africa when I asked, on a whim, whether they knew anything about Kushner and bank transfers from a UAE account. My acquaintance grew quiet. Then they replied, ‘Yes.’” Kushner’s lawyer denied the bank account existed. Whoa. The U.S. added 90% fewer jobs in 2025 than originally reported. That’s not a rounding error. That’s a massive difference between the economy Americans were told we had and the one we actually had.
When first reported, 2025’s jobs reports added up to 1.2 million new jobs. After revisions, the economy added just 116,000 — 90% less.
