A fascinating visit this week to @SWWEC1 to view their extraordinary collection. #4BFTS items in their archive include photos, log books and letters. Here Anne Wickes and Amanda Herbert-Davies show Kathryn Masters a scrapbook of Flt Lt Fairclough shot down and captured in 1942.

We’re sending all our thoughts and good wishes to Falcon Field, home of 4BFTS. It’s been a sad night as a powerful storm hit Mesa. The WWII hangars and others were severely damaged along with many aircraft. Reminiscent of the hurricane in August 1945 but at least no one was hurt – at Wrawby, England
