Má không cần nhà to.

Hauwa teaches history with remarkable detail, bringing the past vividly to life. Unlike schools that teach only what the oppressors want you to know, she highlights how the North fought the British during colonization and explores its thriving markets, well-organized systems of rule, and strong economy before Lugard’s policies and army devastated them.

We have just been attacked by APC thugs in Kebbi State on our way into town from the airport. The APC had stationed thugs along the route, chanting “Kaura falle biyu ne,” meaning “Kaura will serve two terms.” We rolled up our windows and refused to engage with them, but they proceeded to strike our buses with sticks. Why should opposition parties be afraid to campaign freely simply because the incumbent governor belongs to the ruling party? This is an assault on our democracy, and we will resist it with every fibre of our being. @ADCNig @ADCVanguard_

This is a welcome development. I pray Allãh gives me the strength and wherewithal to translate the "Fundamentals of Reservoir Engineering" one day into Hausa.
This Usmanu Danfodiyo University professor delivers mathematics lesson in Hausa. His name is Prof. Aminu A. Usman. Some years ago, Bayero University Kano translated some science textbooks into Hausa to facilitate understanding. Several studies have shown that learning in one’s mother tongue is very effective and enhances understanding. Imagine learning all those complex scientific and technological terms in your mother tongue; I am sure you would understand a lot more. Language barriers are among the major obstacles to effective curriculum implementation. This is a good development, particularly given that Nigeria’s National Policy on Education recognises the importance of using local languages at the pre-primary and primary levels of education.

Dear Nigerians, You cannot solar-panel your way to national development. This is just another version of the “I better pass my neighbour” generator era that ends up lining the pockets of capitalists. We went from buying fuel to escape darkness to buying panels to escape darkness. At what point do we stop adapting to dysfunction and start demanding a functioning country?

Before you let white people gaslight you into saluting them for ending slavery, ask yourself if you are truly FREE. Because you are certainly not. They still control your resources and labour. The United States has a Right of First Refusal over Nigeria’s minerals. Is that what freedom looks like? They devalue your currency through their institutions such as the World Bank and the IMF, export their production cost, and capitalize on your cheap labour to sustain their economy. They install governments that make your countries a living hell, so you can abandon your dreams and migrate to slave for them. If that’s your idea of freedom, then you need a psychiatric evaluation.
