People will have their very strong political opinions, but the WNBA is quickly becoming a league where basketball is not what people are talking about. It’s wonderful if you don’t watch but care passionately for some political agenda, as so many do. Less so for women that would like to play basketball at the highest level and earn a great deal of money doing it. Every week it’s something else with the WNBA and it’s rarely basketball. Some right-winger co-opting CC’s name to strike a clumsy blow for whiteness. Some cookie cutter prog pontificating on racial politics by blaming CC for not parroting their politics verbatim like a good ally. Sophie deciding to wade into the most contentious battle in current politics. Now an owner coming in on the opposite side by berating children in the stands. They have to find some way to put the game at the forefront. They’re enjoying a golden generation of young talent, but the attention is not on them as it should be.

There have been some very good games in this World Cup but none better than that Egypt Argentina game. Only flaw was that awful VAR decision without which we may have been treated to overtime. #EGYARG

Cabo Verde should hold their heads high, what a tournament showing from them. Small island, big team. They battled for the pride of their people and did them proud. Gave the defending champs an absolute battle.

It’s fun watching the spurs in the finals again, but it’s weird seeing a San Antonio team with so little ball movement. So much of their offense is just one or two passes and then a tough shot. Knicks are beating them with experience, rebounding, and by creating much better shots.

This season has done an immense amount of damage to the reputations of the Washington Commanders front office, coach, offensive coordinator, and QB.
