I'll publish a more detailed breakdown later but for now: no source code exists for this 1994 SNES game, so we reverse-engineered it. Traced the 65816 machine code in a scripted emulator, mapped its asset and menu systems, and rewrote parts in assembly. ROM doubled to 4 MB to fit 30 teams. @MarcCarig
