Democrat Rep. Jasper Martus thinks Speaker Hall is a very smart man. We couldn't agree more.

Jocelyn Benson chose Tyler Technologies—a company tangled in 18 federal lawsuits—to build the Michigan Transparency Network. Now, taxpayers are stuck with a dysfunctional mess that hides critical campaign finance data. Michiganders deserve competence, not chaos. #Transparency #FailedLeadership #MILeg

Senate Dems are an odd bunch. They're spending this week suing me and passing a resolution supporting DEI. In the House, we reversed the Democrat income tax hike and we're fixing the roads. K-12 reforms tomorrow.  Why won't Democrats do what people want? It's not hard.

Fight like Hall! The Michigan Constitution separates the powers of government into three branches: Legislative; Executive; & Judicial. After ceding extraordinary power to the Governor during COVID, it’s time for lawmakers to fully reassert their proper role in state government‼️

What Democrats wanted vs what they got. Inspired by Elon Musk's posts about scaling down the federal budget...this photo shows all the bills Democrats had ready to run on Monday (left) vs what they got done when we ended the session on Friday (right). This took a Herculean effort by Republican leaders @SenAricNesbitt and @RepMattHall and culminated in the 29 hour battle on the Senate floor. The result is that many of the worst legislative ideas in Michigan's history, which looked inevitable just a week ago, will never become law. Everyone involved (so many people) has my gratitude and appreciation

Yesterday, Michigan House & Senate Democrats decided not to fix the massive tipped credit / paid sick leave issue that is going to force layoffs & business closures. Their failure points to exactly why Dems lost the 2024 elections. A Thread: wlns.com/skubick/house-repub…

House @SpeakerJoeTate, D-Detroit, decried House Republicans walking out today. SHOT: “Hopefully, this isn't a sign of things to come when we have a Republican majority coming in next year," Tate said. CHASER: Tate has held one day of voting between June and Nov. 5.
