In @GivingReview, @TheFrankForum’s @FilocomoFrank reviews @EABeauregard’s Anti-Civilization: The Collapse of Society & the Case for the Common Good …
Ordinary people seek “stability, predictability, and order within the context of a system that is broadly fair,” Beauregard writes in the book.
Broadly, Filocomo writes, Anti-Civilization’s message is “clearly indicative of the erosion of an old conservative paradigm, and the emergence of a new one.”

Not once, in any way, as the Republicans have gotten worse, have the Democrats responded by getting any better.

There are a litany of meta explanations for our increasing social isolation, but paying too much attention to them can serve to rob us of our sense of agency. Host more, go out more... just do things. Because we can, in fact, just do things.
Perhaps we'd be better off if we learned to slow down. Leisure mustn't continue to be looked down upon as wasted time. thefrankforum.com/2026/10/st…

Word of advice for younger readers coming from a place of love: when your parents get the most emotionally/irrationally angry at you, it’s usually because they see you mimicking some flaw they see in themselves that they swore they wouldn’t let show up in you.

Be Katie Zacharia:
> Graduate from Pepperdine Law in 2011.
> Reportedly fail the California bar and never retake it.
> Move to China. Work at a law firm.
> Build a career in conservative media.
> Describe yourself as a lawyer.
> Hold the title of “general counsel.”
> At 41, get named White House press secretary.
> Pretty significant promotion.
> Unfortunately, it includes a background check conducted by the entire internet.
> Tuesday: First White House briefing.
> Questions arise about your legal credentials.
> Where are you admitted?
> Normally a pretty short conversation.
> Texas. Florida. California.
> Yours requires an explanation involving China.
> By Thursday, explain that you were told you could call yourself a “lawyer,” but not an “attorney” or “esquire.”
> Your career is now depending on a distinction most people use a thesaurus to avoid.
> Appear on Hannity.
> You were hired to explain the president’s positions.
> You are explaining your résumé.
> Friday: Reports say you’re fired.
> Five days in the job.
> First briefing Tuesday. Out Friday.
> I’ve had longer email chains about whether to use “reasonable” or “commercially reasonable.”
> Everyone sees a career catastrophe.
> Fair.
> But look at what survives the termination.
> National name recognition.
> Footage behind the White House podium.
> A story every political podcast can ask you about.
> And a new line on your résumé: Former White House press secretary.
> No semantic debate required for that one.
> Actually held the job.
> The conference introduction probably won’t mention that it was shorter than the hotel’s cancellation policy.
> A book? A podcast? Paid speeches?
> Nothing guaranteed.
> But “former White House press secretary tells her side” is a much easier pitch than “political commentator available for bookings.”
> At 41, lose a job in five days.
> Potentially spend the next 20 years being introduced by it.
The job didn’t work out. But I suspect things will for her!
Katie Zacharia has been fired as White House press secretary after less than one week on the job.

If the White House can't appoint a press secretary without shit hitting the fan within hours, if it announces a LIVE-STREAMED EXECUTION without any serious thought and soon walks it back... how can we expect it to resolve the Ukraine war or get a nuclear deal with Iran?
I'm no political analyst, but this seems significant

WATCH: What happened in the conference hall after Matt Peterson, Amanda Milius, Jon Keeperman, and William Wolfe’s speeches at NatCon Jerusalem?
There were 200 Israeli conservatives in the hall. The session went for two hours.
Yet no one in that room accused anyone of “antisemitism.” Instead the conversations were thoughtful and serious and good. And they just kept going and going.
The truth is: What happened in that hall was a breakthrough—but it was a huge problem for onlookers like @jpodhoretz and @NickJFuentes.
What if it turns out American nationalists and Israeli nationalists can understand each other much better than we thought? That could really change the game.
Which is why we’re getting these absolutely wild reactions from Podhoretz and Fuentes. They’re both asking themselves: “What can I do to break that up?”
But they aren’t going to break it up. Just take a look at the video if you dare!
