Today, I’m reintroducing the BASIC Act with @SenAlexPadilla to help colleges connect students with food, housing, child care, transportation, and other basic resources they need to stay in school and earn their degrees. College should be a path to opportunity, not a choice between getting an education and putting food on the table. No student should have to drop out because they can’t afford to meet their basic needs.
