Bit of a downer, perhaps. But what is it about the phrase “global pandemic” that is hard to grasp?
If you travel to places with lots of other people, if you don’t keep your distance - you will help to sustain the virus.
We can all do our part to keep the most vulnerable safe.

How to really enjoy the rain:
1. Stand at the window (inside)
2. Put non-tea drinking hand on hip
3. Sip tea from mug
4. Mutter “look at that rain”, “it’s really coming down now” or “the garden needs it”
5. Say “good job we got the cushions/washing in”
6. Eat all the biscuits

We have 8000 cases daily, a private testing system set up without connection to primary care, call-centre tracing that appears a fiasco, and no digital app. After 4 months. Unless the population has hidden (T cell?) immunity, we're heading for resurgence.

BBC1 Breakfast 07.40 hrs: Matt Hancock has just said that we do not know yet whether people who have had coronavirus are still able to transmit the virus. The implication is that if we come in close contact will those people we will need to self-isolate for 14 days.
