Here’s a look at the flattening taking place right now. Can’t see it here, but about 150m away @SteveClarkPC had “affordable housing” signs put up two years ago that are still there. This is a parking lot, it’s not affordable housing. It won’t even be affordable parking.

Now @fordnation is allowed to have friends, but when your friends benefit from such highly localized land use decisions made by the Minister of @ONmunicipal @SteveClarkPC when is it no longer a coincidence, when is it conflict of interest @ON_Integrity, or worse?

And here’s @SteveClarkPC’s solemn promise (since deleted) not to develop the #Greenbelt.
Guess we know how much trust to put into an @OntarioPCParty ‘promise’😡

Ontarians are getting closer to learning the truth about Doug Ford's #Greenbelt carve-up, as both the Integrity Commissioner and the Auditor General agreed to my request to open investigations. Read my statement: ontariondp.ca/news/integrity… #handsoffthegreenbelt

Ontarians deserve answers. I've written a joint letter with @JohnFraserOS & @MikeSchreiner requesting that the Auditor General conduct both a value-for-money audit and environmental impact assessment of the government’s decision to remove lands from the #Greenbelt. #onpoli

fyi, we at @thenarwhalca have just updated this Greenbelt land grab explainer with ~everything~ that has happened since the original announcement in November. It should now be a fairly comprehensive guide to what's going on! #onpoli

Just spoke with @CBCNews about the cross-party call for an Auditor General's audit of the Ontario government's giveaway to private real estate investors of immensely valuable easements protecting the Duffins-Rouge portion of the Greenbelt.

After receiving dozens of complaints about nefarious Greenbelt land deals, the OPP’s anti racket branch opened a file to determine whether or not to launch a full investigation.
Expect Ford to announce new police funding soon.

Hard to believe it’s been a year since @fordnation tried to demolish these heritage buildings in our community with no consultation or engagement.

Good coverage of the problematic sale of 1117 Queen W into private hands. “It was like, at least give us time to put a bid together. But we didn’t get that here. The buyer says they have ‘zero plan’ for the heritage property.

The community IS livid.
We are livid at all levels of government for allowing the sale of OUR property during a time of crisis.
We are livid at the total disregard for local interests, heritage, affordable housing, space for artists, daycare and innovation.
