We happen to (for now) have a constitution that protects our rights but the constitution only says what the courts say it says. If a socialist ever gained power in America and packed the Supreme Court (potentially in 2028) they would be able to effectively have complete control over the constitution. The right simply doesn't recognize any election it doesn't win as legitimate. In their soggy, conspiracy addled brains, the right can't be beaten, only cheated here and everywhere. When right wingers say the left is going after Christians, we're talking about Christians having their children taken by the state for not supporting LGBT or Christians being put on watchlists for opposing things nearly everyone opposed until 5 minutes ago.
But I notice shitlibs always wanna pretend it's nothing more than their strawman of Christians getting irked that the cashier at the grocery store said Happy Holidays.
Let’s break this down:
-They do want communism
-They do not support the military or police
-They left the border wide open for 4 years (and want it reopened)
-They strongly support illegal immigration (by being anti-ICE)
-They actually pass legislation that allows the state to TAKE children from their parents and transition (sterilize) them
-Saying “Merry Christmas” instead of “Happy Holidays” in a blue city is guaranteed to make everyone scowl at you
They support all of these things, but not as much as they support gaslighting you about it.
