The way entertainment should be IMHO. We are inundated by politics and division constantly these days. Give us things to just enjoy and get away from that for a brief time.

I’m old enough to remember when Elon bought Twitter, fired most of the staff, and countless people here said he was running it into the ground… that he wasn’t that smart, that he was just succeeding on the work of others … and whatever else people had to say because he had become more unspoken about politics and they didn’t like him anymore. Of course, he did not accomplish any of these things by himself. But what other leader has overseen the kind of innovation he has… ever?

Elon Musk is the greatest entrepreneur the world has ever seen. All of this happened in the last month.

And yet somehow everything they put out back then blows the doors off anything Pixar has released in the past decade or so. The difference between having good storytellers… or not.
It would take 8 hours for Pixar's computers to render a single frame of Toy Story in 1995.

Tim Duncan NEVER missed the playoffs in his 19 year career. His WORST record in a 82 game season with the Spurs was 50-32. He also has the 3rd most wins in NBA history (1,158). The definition of a winner.

Public serivce annoucnement to sports commentators: "Play a factor" is not a thing in the English language. Something can "be a factor" or it can "play a role," but it cannot *play a factor."

I’m really getting sick of sports wagering. If you enjoy it, have at it, I’m not trying to shit on your fun. I like to lay down a few bones here and there too. But the way it permeates social media and fan behavior at events is just fucking ugly. We’ve gone too far.

Recent studies in neuroscience and psychology are reframing ADHD not merely as a set of cognitive hurdles but as a powerful driver of breakthrough creativity and innovation. Long stereotyped for difficulties with focus, attention, and impulse control, individuals with ADHD traits often exhibit superior divergent thinking—the capacity to generate a wide array of novel ideas by connecting distant or unrelated concepts. This stems from reduced adherence to rigid mental frameworks, enabling freer conceptual expansion and the production of more original, unconventional solutions than neurotypical counterparts. Heightened mind-wandering, especially when deliberate (purposefully allowing thoughts to drift), acts as a fertile source for this creativity, bypassing conventional boundaries to yield abundant "outside-the-box" insights. Complementing this cognitive flexibility is a neurological drive for novelty rooted in lower baseline dopamine signaling. This creates a chronic need for stimulation, translating into exploratory, risk-tolerant behavior and a propensity for adventure—qualities that can disrupt routine settings but prove invaluable in dynamic fields. Impulsivity, often reframed as rapid action initiation, becomes a catalyst for pursuing bold ideas and seizing opportunities in high-stakes environments. These traits align closely with the profiles of many successful entrepreneurs, inventors, and pioneers. In fast-evolving creative and innovative economies, the ADHD brain's wiring for quick associative leaps, tolerance of uncertainty, and motivation through novelty-seeking provides a distinct edge, turning potential challenges into engines of originality and progress. Emerging evidence from 2025–2026 research reinforces this view: studies link stronger ADHD traits to elevated creative achievements via mediated mind-wandering, intuitive insight-driven problem-solving, and higher real-world inventive output, highlighting neurodiversity's role in fueling societal advancement. I hear some people complain about how toxic X is. That does not have to be true at all. 1. You can train the algorithm to bring very little toxicity your way. I have done this. 2. You don’t have to use the algorithm. You can still look only at accounts that you follow. Don’t follow toxic accounts. 3. You can simply pay attention to lists of specific accounts on specific topics. Make lists of non-toxic account accounts.

As an annual passholder at @UniversalORL for many years, it is sad to see the decline of service. My family and I have eaten that Mythos for 14 years. Lower quality, higher prices. And now they stopped their bread service and they’re charging $15 for it before the meal. šŸ˜•

Exactly. People have kept going with this "Wemby really hates Chet!" thing ... and it's always been off base. He was annoyed that they kept getting mentioned in the same sentence.
Jeff McDonald (@JMcDonald_SAEN) on Wembanyama’s beef with Chet: ā€œHis first couple of years, people kept asking him about facing Chet when they play Oklahoma City and his rivalry with Chet. And you know, one was the number 1 pick in the draft and one was number 2 in back to back years. They’re kinda similar players - tall, skilled.. Like I understand people asking the question, but Victor did not understand why people were asking the question. ā€˜Like you’re comparing me with this guy? I’m on the SGA level, I’m in the MVP conversation. I don’t really even think about this guy.’ So I think it’s just those questions every time they played Oklahoma City early in his career where it’s sort of like: ā€˜OK, I gotta go annihilate this guy so people stop asking me about him.ā€ #GoSpursGo #PorVida
