Should Canada become an associate member of the EU? MEP Christine Anderson has a clear message for Canadians: “Run as far and as fast as you possibly can.” She warns against EU overreach, censorship and the erosion of national self-determination. 🎥 Watch her full statement. @AndersonAfDMdEP

Nichts.

They mean CFS Clean Fuel Standard (though formally it may be "Regulations" which would make it CFR...but Heather is not referring to the Council on Foreign Relations.

BTW did Alberta ever save $3 billion a year in health costs as the NDP and Dr. V promised for coal phase-out? We spent about $22 billion in compensation; then the plants had to be changed over...$$ this weakened our energy security in Alberta and drove up power prices, which of course, also drove up costs for hospitals and medical centers. Afuera!

Exner-Pirot on the Clean Fuel Standard (CFR): "There is an even more insidious aspect to the CFR. To meet their carbon intensity targets, many Canadian refiners blend biofuels into their petroleum products. But Canada is not self-sufficient in their production. More than half of Canada’s biofuels are imported, predominantly from the United States. Somehow, in the middle of a trade war and an energy crisis, it has gone unnoticed that Canada — the aspiring energy superpower — has artificially made itself dependent on the United States for fuel. The vulnerability was brutally exposed with U.S. President Donald Trump’s diesel export ban threat, when refiners were scrambling to find out if renewable diesel bound for Canada would be caught in the net. It is a favourite line of the Carney government that, amidst geopolitical rupture and trade disruption, “Canada is focused on what we can control.” The CFR is at the top of the list of self-harming, expensive and distortive policies that Canada controls, and has every interest in rolling back." @ExnerPirot

Scrap the Paris temperature targets, says @RogerPielkeJr. They don’t tell us which policies work. Yet households and businesses pay the price of those policies. And their patience has limits. Ever-higher energy bills. Industry moving abroad. European leaders should not be surprised when the yellow vests return. Pielke also sees expensive energy as a driver of the political upheaval across many countries. His “iron law”: when climate policy collides with the economy, the economy wins. A temperature target or a deadline for “net zero” won’t change that. His alternative: technological progress that cuts emissions AND increases prosperity. In conversation with @marcelcrok, Pielke explains why climate policy needs a rethink — and why he is finally optimistic. Watch the full interview: youtu.be/QFrAGK_OEXk

.@ABDanielleSmith @PremierScottMoe @taxpayerDOTcom Hundreds of failing heat pumps in Germany!!!

In the #GENClimtaeAction case in Ontario, CBC went out of its way to make derogatory comments about one of Canada's most esteemed scientists, Prof. William van Wijgaarden. We did the investigative work in 2022 on who was who behind that case - the kind of work that the tax-funded CBC should have done, @taxpayerDOTcom , rather than smearing a scientist while lionizing children being used as pawns for Big Climate. blog.friendsofscience.org/20… /2

Well... narcity.com/calgary/climate-… Much as we scientifically disagree with the stance of these kids and their guardians who filed the suit, and with the ENGO driving the case, these are KIDS, some are obviously scared about the future. So - let's deal with the science and not go after these younguns. Just well-meaning, frightened pawns in the climate passion play.
