Once these subdivisions are completed over the next couple of years, Erin will flip from being a small and sleepy Canadian town to another Indian parking lot. Mjority Whoye to majority Indian over the course of less than a decade.
This one really activates the almonds. I always liked the idea of economic nationalism and self-reliance, but then I look at the current state of the NA auto market, Bell/Rogers, the grocery oligopoly and they suck. This take provides another angle for heavy industry that I never considered before.

I know a guy who works in one of the smaller steel companies in Ontario that had to be rebuilt. When the American company decided to shut it down post NAFTA they had a bunch of the production machines/ lines cut up with torches so no one would be able to restart production and compete with their American based plants.
When I was at Stelco, I was talking to a supervisor there and he told me that when US Steel owned them they took the recipes for the special alloys that made steel for car doors that stelco had done all the R&D for, shifting the production to the US based plants.
Our politicians let this happen, they don't even care how our industries have been hollowed out by foreign owners.
I swear to God these people have some sort of fantasy fetish for living under Daddy MechaHitler (the new BC government wont do anything)

The right wing criticisms of capitalism are fundamentally different than left wing ones because the right wants the economy to benefits the citizens, and the left want to bankrupt the citizens to give free stuff to low IQ savages.

One reason young Canadians are becoming our most politically conservative cohort (and they are; look it up) is because they've all had to interact with an Emily Lowan.

Canada is drowning in a fraud crisis—and almost all of it traces straight back to immigration.
Worse—Canadians are bankrolling the housing supply in their own communities to make it happen.

I think the Conservative Party has maybe 3 months before its base starts getting desperate. Maybe even less time than that.
If they can't get some energy back, I think you'll see more people just say fuck it and advocate for:
- Becoming the 51st State
- Mass Remigration through the vehicle of Dominion Society or something else
- More people check out of politics due to apathy. Just accepting they live in a country that failed them. Maybe these people move if they can. Maybe they try to convince themselves Carney isn't so bad.
- Support a new political party like the PPC or another option. Somehow I think this is the least likely scenario, even though I would like this one most
Most Canadians are actually struggling. Not in an online complain way. In a real cannot afford life way. It's insane to assume these people will cling to a weak opposition party forever.
The conservative base will not accept waiting out Trump's entire term. That I am sure of.

Indians comprise up to 30% of all immigrants to Canada each year. When immigration is predominantly dominated by one group, it does not represent diversity. @DanielTyrie
