A primary CF in HS the 6’2 200 pounder can handle all 3 OF positions (has played all 3 at GC) with the athleticism and speed to play CF and the rocket arm and slug profile to play RF.
Avera will play his Sophomore year coming off a freshman spring where he was named both 1st team all state and 1st team all Panhandle Conference in addition to being named a top 10 overall player (pitcher or position player) in the Panhandle Conference.
1st team All State and all Panhandle Conference performer last season. Carson was 1 of 3 freshman from last year’s team to move to the D1 level after one season. Zagryn slashed 399/484/766 (1.250 OPS) with 16 2Bs and 14 HRs.
