Uncommitted Sophomore Davis Avera returns after a huge freshman year where he slashed 360/468/640 (1.108 OPS) with high level batted ball data while slugging 8 homers, 18 doubles, and 4 triples. Good for a 47% XBH%. (MLB average 34.5%)
A primary CF in HS the 6’2 200 pounder can handle all 3 OF positions (has played all 3 at GC) with the athleticism and speed to play CF and the rocket arm and slug profile to play RF.
Avera will play his Sophomore year coming off a freshman spring where he was named both 1st team all state and 1st team all Panhandle Conference in addition to being named a top 10 overall player (pitcher or position player) in the Panhandle Conference.
