"But Lou, I'm *only* 120 yards in the fairway.
I should NEVER make bogey from there. It's just a wedge or a soft 9 iron. I should be thinking birdie!"
THE DATA
What does scoring average look like from 120 yards in the fairway:
20 index: ▶️ 3.91 shots
15 index: ▶️ 3.69 shots
10 index: ▶️ 3.47 shots
5 index: ▶️ 3.25 shots
0 index: ▶️ 3.05 shots
Tour Pro: ▶️ 2.85 shots
Scratch players take more than 3 shots to get the ball in the hole. Scratch players are "over par" from 120 yards in the fairway.
Let that sink in.

TGL live and in person:
The GOOD, the BAD, and THE UGLY.
I attended the TGL event last night and it was a surreal experience witnessing Tiger Woods and the gang hamming it up in the SoFi Center.
What worked well?
What sucked?
Let’s take a deep dive: 🧵

This video from @MyTPI has beeen around a while.
The point of any jump varation is to build general lower body power not mimic the golf swing. If you want to use that variation in conjunction with other normal loaded and unlaoded jump variations great.

Actually I hate to contradict here but while something like chapstick reduces spin on a driver, a bit of water actually INCREASES spin. It’s one of the weird and non-intuitive effects of how friction works at impact.
Q. What’s the effect of water on a driver?
A. On any clubface, water is going to reduce friction. The result is invariably higher launch with reduced spin. While that’s not ideal with a wedge, with a driver it can be a good thing—in some cases.
Over the years, we’ve seen a few products designed to cut spin (and with that, help reduce a slice).
Several years ago, we did a test with a product called No Slice (I don’t think it exists anymore) alongside cooking spray and butter.
While not legal (as far as the USGA is concerned), all three helped cut spin and improve accuracy. While water will do the same, given the lower loft, the impact won’t be nearly as significant as it is with other forms of driver lube.

I don’t relate to people that are always so CASUAL about their life.
How are you not going to have seasons of:
•Intensity
•Pushing your limits
•Finding out what you're capable of
I’m all for relaxing, being present & enjoying life…….
But you can’t SIMPLY EXIST & be happy.
You can't use ZERO CREATIVITY, watch TV 6 hours a day & be fulfilled.
Humans THRIVE when we:
1) Are GROWING
2) Are GIVING
If you feel down, existing or not your best.
Ask yourself how you can GROW & GIVE more!

Some inside baseball: Adam Scott added a @TaylorMadeGolf Qi10 9-wood this week that nearly went into play at Memphis. @Adrianrietveld told me 9-wood replaced the 7-wood because it was more predictable at elevation.
For Castle Pines, he opted for driver, mini driver, 5-wood, 9-wood.
"[Adam] has no problem taking spin off the golf shot," Rietveld told me. "So he's basically got two drivers. His 5-wood can play like a 3-wood and the 9-wood like a 7-wood — and potentially a 5-wood.
"The clubs allow him to be that versatile. It's probably not advertised or said much, but Adam has heaps of speed control in the loft of these high-lofted woods. It really gives him options."
Rivetveld said Scott can turn on the speed with ease to, for example, get the 9-wood to a 5-wood distance or get the 5-wood to 3-wood distance."
Said 5 mph of added ball speed is an easy ask for Scott — and he doesn't have to overdo it.

Look at this woman - Let us never forget!
The world hasn't just become wicked...it's always been wicked.
The prize doesn't always go to the most deserving.
Her name is Irena Sendler
She Died 12 May 2008 (aged 98) in Warsaw, Poland
During WWII, Irena, got permission to work in the Warsaw ghetto, as a plumbing/sewer specialist.
She had an 'ulterior motive'.
She KNEW what the Nazi's plans were for the Jews (being German).
Irena smuggled infants out in the bottom of the tool box she carried and she carried in the back of her truck a burlap sack, (for larger children).
She also had a dog in the back that she trained to bark when the Nazi soldiers let her in and out of the ghetto.
The soldiers of course wanted nothing to do with the dog and the barking covered the infants' noises.
During her time of doing this, she managed to smuggle out and save 2500 children/infants.
She was caught, and the Nazi's broke both her legs, arms and beat her severely.
Irena kept a record of the names of all the kids she smuggled out and kept them in a glass jar, buried under a tree in her back yard.
After the war, she tried to locate any parents that may have survived it and reunited the family.
Most had been gassed. Those children she helped got placed into foster family homes or adopted.
Last year Irena was up for the Nobel Peace Prize.
She was not selected.
President Obama won one year before becoming President for his work as a community organizer for ACORN
Al Gore won also --- for a slide show on Global Warming.
In MEMORIAM - 63 YEARS LATER
We're doing our small part by posting this message.
I hope you'll consider doing the same...
It is now more than 60 years after the Second World War in Europe ended.
This posting stands as a memorial chain, in memory of the six million Jews, 20 million Russians, 10 million Christians and 1,900 Catholic priests who were murdered, massacred, raped, burned, starved and humiliated!
Now, more than ever, with Iran, and others, claiming the HOLOCAUST to be 'a myth'.
It's imperative to make sure the world never forgets, because there are others who would like to do it again.
