RIP Ryu Murakami. While Haruki Murakami is more famous outside of Japan, Ryu's books and films deserve a bigger audience. His novels Almost Transparent Blue, Coin Locker Babies, Audition (filmed by Takashi Miike), and Piercing are all worth reading. And check out his films
