🚨 Protect Our Public Leisure Services
North Down & Ards Council is considering big changes to how our leisure centres are run, including outsourcing to private companies. GMB are campaigning for a return to fully in-house, publicly run services, and here’s why:
👪 Public services put people before profit
⤴️ They mean better job security, fair pay & union support for staff
🏘️ And they keep leisure affordable, inclusive, and tailored to our local community
This decision will impact workers, families, and the future of our neighbourhoods. Councils elsewhere are already reversing outsourcing after it failed their communities, let’s not make the same mistake.
