I've been screaming into the void over this for years. The "load management" narrative created a tragic misunderstanding of the NBA's actual problem. They don't have a "players don't wanna play" issue. They have a "players are constantly getting legitimately injured" issue. AK
This is why I don’t wanna hear people complain about players getting their bread

Please do more research!
1. Reparations and a generational wealth program. - Democrats were passing reparations bills in cities across the country before Trump got back in office and knocked that back about one hundred years. Evanston, Asheville, Maryland, etc.
2. A Black homeownership and land-protection initiative - Downpayment Toward Equity Act: Reintroduced in the U.S. House by Representatives Maxine Waters, Al Green, Ayanna Pressley, and Jesus "Chuy" Garcia, this legislation provides $100 billion in direct assistance administered through the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and state agencies. It offers up to $20,000 to $25,000 for down payments, closing costs, and mortgage buydowns for first-time, first-generation homebuyers and socially or economically disadvantaged buyers.
3. Fair access to government contracts and business capital - More Black businesses were getting access to this under the Biden/Harris administration. Trump came in and made this HARDER calling it DEI.
4. Better-funded schools and career pathways - Democrats want more funding for public schools and have talked about more career pathways
5. Black maternal health and preventive healthcare protections - There is literally a Black Maternal Health Caucus with democrats in the house. Republicans don’t believe those issues exist.
6. Criminal justice reform and reentry support - Democrats were the ones who began pushing for this, especially when Obama was in office. He started the criminal justice reform movement.
7. Protection against discriminatory housing and neighborhood displacement -
The Eviction Protection Grant Program (EPGP)
Championed heavily by Senate Democrats within federal appropriations packages, this program provides direct federal grants to local communities to:
•Establish a "Right to Counsel": Fund legal aid organizations to ensure low-income tenants have access to legal representation during eviction proceedings.
•Prevent Eviction and Displacement: Scale up eviction diversion programs that settle landlord-tenant disputes before they reach a courtroom.
Also Biden signed a bill to address Black communities who had highways built through them.
8. A stronger Black agricultural and rural landownership program - Biden gave $2 billion to Black farmers to begin to help address this issue. More money would have been on the table. Trump came in and halted that.
9. Government transparency and enforceable civil rights - ??
10. Stronger penalties and remedies for proven racial discrimination - What do you want that’s not addressed in the Matthew Shepard and James Byrd Jr hate crime act signed by Obama in 2009 that made it easier to prosecute these types of crimes? You can have all the laws on the books you want. They mean nothing if the current DOJ doesn’t think they exist.
11. Protection against racial profiling - Have you seen what Republicans think about that issue?
12. Independent investigations and anti-discrimination audits - They were doing this.
13. Protection against racial discrimination in schools - 🤦🏾♂️ many of these things you say you want, they were already trying to address. It takes 60 votes to pass most legislation in the senate. Without that, most things are going to be stalled.
This is just a few, which party is going to be the first to offer these & actually follow through with their promises?

I will never understand how so many of y’all were hoodwinked into believing the government should not use the money you pay in taxes to create a social safety net that benefits you, fund public healthcare, lower housing costs, and make daily life more affordable.

So Vivek Ramaswamy and his campaign found a homeless woman in desperate need of help, cleaned her up just long enough to exploit her for a political attack ad against her own daughter, and then sent her right back onto the streets? These people aren’t just cruel. They’re fucking monsters.

Just last month, DoorDash couldn’t seem to find the money to pay their deliveristas — until our administration forced them to give back $131M+ in stolen wages and penalties.
This week, they’ve managed to find $17 billion to acquire one of their main competitors.
Corporate consolidation means higher prices, harsher exploitation, and greater economic inequality for New Yorkers.
We’ve stood up to these giants before. That doesn’t stop now.

Men have a low physical attraction threshold for casual sex and a high one for marriage. Women have the opposite, because for women, initial attraction can grow a lot more as they get to know someone.
This leads to a lot of confusion for men, who project their own attraction system onto women - believing a woman must be settling and not actually find her husband attractive if she wouldn't have had immediate casual sex with him.
