general advice relating to this: if you're a creator, you shouldn't shy away from doing a video just because the topic has already been done a bunch
Do you know the definition of insanity?

Master Chief actor Steve Downes says using AI to replicate his voice is crossing a line "Deceiving somebody into thinking... that these are lines that I actually spoke, when they're not... I'm not a proponent. I don't like it, and I would prefer that it not be done"

If you use GenAI at any point in your project I just assume you have no respect for anything creative.
We’ve noticed more voice actors publicly refusing to work on any project that uses Ai at any stage of production. While the concern is understandable, refusing every project that touches Ai is like cutting off your nose to spite your face. A large percentage of modern productions already use some form of Ai for concept art, script drafts, idea generation, or asset creation. The important part is that these projects are still hiring human voices. That should be seen as an opportunity. If every voice actor turns away from these jobs, producers and studios will eventually have no choice but to rely on ai-generated voices instead. That would hurt the entire community. Ai isn’t going away, and its role in production will only continue to grow. The smartest move is to stay involved in the work that still values real human performance. That’s how we protect the craft and keep the human voice alive in modern production.

>thing comes out >fans dogpile anyone who criticizes it >critics stay quiet >enough time passes that fans are no longer rabid >finally have a chance to voice criticisms >“when this came out everyone loved it but now y’all are switching up on it? The hate is so forced”

if an animated movie makes ppl “cornplate”, it did its job. the tiny details, they’re meant to be noticed. it’s ppl animating EVERY single thing w a purpose, and instead of being smth to shame someone for noticing, it should be smth that make us appreciate animated media MORE
i am a firm believer that animation should always be cornplated!!!! the artists & animators put so much of their love, time, care, & effort into crafting every tiny detail in an animated show or movie so even the silliest & smallest of details deserve to be mentioned!!!!

Mcquarrie even confirms there was a big effort to kill theatrical releases to have streaming gain profit and Tom worked tirelessly to prevent it. Whatever your feelings towards Cruise, I understand, but just providing clarity on this
I’ve noticed some folks are upset/confused about Cruise saving cinema status so just to give some context the correct term Spielberg gave him was “you saved the theatrical distribution” it’s not about the movies box office, it was about all the groundwork and lawyering up he did

3 years and we are already forget how important Top Gun: Maverick was for theatre distribution?
Tom Cruise is "saving cinema" by doing three sequels in a row, two of which didn't even do very well box office wise, but it's the Australian horror filmmakers who used to make YouTube videos that are the problem. Right.

tc would do all the research he can to make sure that the stunts he does are safe and possible to do, there’s a different between being competent and just not willing to push it to the limit tc is constantly thinking about how to make the movie better for the audience
Tom Cruise in "F1" over Brad Pitt would've been "scaring us a little bit more" on set, says director Joseph Kosinksi. “We’d have had a crash,” quips action-vehicle supervisor Graham Kelly. “Tom pushes it to the limit. I mean really to the limit. That terrifies me. I mean, I’ve done loads of ‘Mission: Impossibles’ with Tom and it’s the most stressful experience for someone like me building cars for him, doing stunts with him. Whereas Brad listens and he knows his abilities, and I think he’d be the first to say, ‘Yeah, I’m not going to do that.’” Read more here: variety.com/2025/film/news/t…

There are people on here who don’t see the issue because the two images technically depict the same thing and that’s why these movies continue to exist and make money

at what point are we allowed to shame parents for acquiescing to the national push to shovel garbage through their childrens eyes into their brains till they cant process narrative or visual art

Apart from everything else, one of my favourite things about The Final Reckoning was that I could see everything that was happening at all times. Even the dark scenes were lit creatively to add to the tension but in a way that was clear what was happening.

to people crying in the quotes about nobody giving af about the budget for mi...every fucking cent of this budget was put to use on the CRAZIEST practical stunts done literally ever. which is, ya know, different from giving RDJ 100m just to put a cgi mask on
‘MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE - THE FINAL RECKONING’ is on track to earn $200M on its global box office opening weekend. • Potentially the highest of the franchise. • The film had a $400M budget. Read our review: bit.ly/MissionTHH
