The University of Florida (@UF) just filed a notice of intent to hire an H-1B Financial Analyst Worksite: 33 Tigert Hall, Gainesville, Florida Salary: $64,928 Posting date: October 26, 2026 Requested employment period: February 2, 2027–February 1, 2030
Get rid of these programs that bring in foreign workers at the expense of young Americans. We stopped H-1Bs at our universities in Florida and other states should follow suit.

I applaud the leaders in both Finland and Norway, who have opened up discussion with Russia, another nuclear superpower, to call for peace. The entire world should be supporting the United States in this Peace negotiation effort and opening up dialogue to ensure that our world is a safer place. 🕊️
The leaders of Finland and Norway call Russian President Vladimir Putin to urge him to end the war in Ukraine, breaking with a longstanding practice among Western European leaders of shunning direct contact with the Kremlin. nbcnews.com/world/russia/lea…

Another couple shots of the Red-cockaded Woodpecker. She was absolutely beautiful and now I'm trying to figure out how soon I can make it back to find them again

As Ron DeSantis enters the final weeks of his governorship of Florida, look at what he has accomplished. His record is nothing short of miraculous and may be the single most effective governorship in the history of the United States. Let’s remember…. He was the first to stand up to crazy COVID restrictions and reopen schools and businesses, he led the nation in school choice with more than half 1 million families now in the school of their choosing, he eliminated state debt and left the state with 18 billion in rainy day funds, and most importantly he signed the Heartbeat Protection Act, which ended most abortions after six weeks. Everyone I know who lives in Florida says it is the most well-run state in the country. Well done governor!🙏

8 years ago, 11 innocent people at the Tree of Life synagogue here in Western PA were brutally murdered in a vile, antisemitic attack. Today and always, we remember Joyce, Richard, Rose, Jerry, Cecil, David, Bernice, Sylvan, Daniel, Melvin, and Irving.

Thank you, Governor DeSantis for honoring John Anderson, who was a 2025 Florida Artists Hall of Fame inductee.
Today I issued an Executive Order designating “Seminole Wind” by John Anderson as the official anthem of Florida. I have also directed the @FLSecofState to erect historic markers in the City of Apopka depicting John Anderson’s contribution to Florida’s heritage. In addition, I have tasked @FLDEPNews to work with the @SJRWMD to designate wildlife drive and trail system within Lake Apopka North Shore as the John Anderson Wildlife Drive and Trail System.

While not "gaslighting", this post relies on rhetorical framing, a straw man, and overstatement. Rhetorical framing: It attempts to cast the United States as somehow complicit in international law-breaking for simply granting entry to Flavio Bolsonaro. Straw man: There is no public confirmation of an asylum claim or grant, as suggested. If there were a claim/grant, this post claims it would be solely because Bolsonaro lost the election to Lula. Overstatements: “Giving… safe haven” and the asylum framing overstate the confirmed action (visas, not verified asylum or permanent protection). “Its role helping Bolsonaro flee” asserts active US facilitation of the departure itself; reporting confirms the US is granting entry after he left (defying a Brazilian court order to surrender passports), but direct US operational assistance remains unconfirmed speculation from Brazilian sources. Presenting the investigations as the decisive fact without noting they are allegations under a sealed inquiry (not convictions) and that Bolsonaro has Italian citizenship, which can affect asylum eligibility.
Losing an election is not grounds for asylum. Yet the Trump Administration is giving Flávio Bolsonaro safe haven in the United States. In Brazil, he is under investigation for alleged corruption, money laundering and currency evasion, and was ordered to surrender his passports. The Trump Administration owes Congress answers on its role helping Bolsonaro flee Brazil in contravention of Brazilian law. apnews.com/article/brazil-fl…
