Jerry Jones on @1053thefan on him not paying top dollar for coaches: “There is zero correlation (in the NFL) between how much you pay a coach or how many coaches you have as to winning. There is no correlation. And that’s a random sample of years and all 32 teams involved. So put that in your hopper and smoke it.”

So to sum up today’s extensive Jerry Jones conversation on @1053thefan:
- They counted on the offense carrying the defense through a rebuilding effort
- There’s no big changes on the horizon
- There’s nothing currently on the trade front, especially not as sellers
- He said there’s no correlation between highest-paid coaches and Super Bowls
- One glory hole reference

The Cowboys just had locker room availability, but majority of roster left the facility before we got in there. No players were interviewed. Can’t say I remember that happening before

No. Just no. I'm not allowing this fucking narrative this week.
THE DEFENSE DID THEIR JOB.
They got 3 total turnovers. 1 int, 1 fumble, 1 on downs.
They were playing good until 2 of their 3 best players left the game and the HC STILL asked them to win the game and they DID THEIR JOB IN OT AS WELL AND GOT A STOP.
The HC got conservative spammed the run that didn't work all game and lost the game. Thats it. It's that simple.
I hear yall on Schotty. The play calling wasn’t perfect. But we put up 30 points. I think we should’ve been more aggressive in OT. But reality is your oline got whooped today. Dak couldn’t step up in pocket hence 4 sacks. Even our last TD was all Dak using his legs. We couldn’t run the ball at all as well. Gave Javonte 24 carries for 56 yards. That’s averaging 2.3 yards per carry. Even gave Goodson the ball more today and he only could average 2.0 yards per carry.
Schotty did what everyone asked him to do. Stick with the run. That’s exactly what he did and put up 30. So no I won’t be calling for his firing today. Multiple times his offense built a lead and the defense gave up points right after.
The defense losing Caleb and Porter was clearly catastrophic which is sad to say the least.
Your defensive coordinator doesn’t know what he’s doing. He just doesn’t.
You have to part ways with him. But Jerry won’t do it so it is what it is.

Dak Prescott was asked if he reminds people about the time they started 3-5 and made the playoffs.
“At this point, talk is cheap, telling stories is cheap. We have to go write our own story.”
