REALLY strange when you consider that poor financial health drives 72% of all stress and increases health care costs by up to 30%... it makes you sick and it keeps you from getting better.
"It's a strange anachronism that you get your healthcare from your employer but not your financial benefits. the employer channel is really underexplored and going to be more important in the future."

This is why @Go_Brightside exists. Employers are uniquely motivated and positioned to address our financial health crisis. It is making people sick and preventing them from getting the health care they need.

1. Saddened by this sight in my country. Saddened by the comments that lack empathy. The reality is that very few US families save money for a financial shock. They don’t have money for a repair bill, let alone the loss of one spouse’s job for an extended period.

RIP and thanks, Tony. I read "Delivering Happiness" in 2011. Gave me the courage to keep focusing on amazing service as the way to build the trust that was critical to understanding clients and influencing outcomes.

Money is the biggest cause of stress in the UK and 72% of Americans are stressed about money. This stress is estimated to cost $500bn per year for US employers and £35bn annually for UK employers.
It isn't an income specific phenomenon.
It is time for employers to step up.

6. I’m thankful that there are more and more employers who see they are in a great position to address the #financialhealth crisis in this country. A crisis that existed long before the pandemic. I’m thankful to be working with them and with the team at @Go_Brightside. (6)

62% of employers now feel "extremely responsible" for employee financial health (up from 13% in 2013). I guess the other 38% don't yet understand the huge ROI from lower healthcare costs, better retention, and higher productivity...
