My daughter attended a party that was shut down by the cops last night. Nothing bad happened by all reports. Just a big bunch of yappy kids freezing in a yard close to a major highway and the city.
They said about 40-50 were going when I asked. As soon as we arrived I laughed and said, yeah ok! I knew there would be hundreds. 😂
On the way out there the cops were already swarming and I mentioned to the girls, the cops know all you guys are coming.
They asked how the cops knew? Well girls, you have hundreds of kids all posting and bragging on social media about it, the cops planned more for this party than the kids did.
Now I had a truck load of cold, hungry and wide eyed blabbering teenagers, one more than I dropped off. So, I stopped at McDonalds on the way home, my treat. All made it home safe and sound.
When we left McDonalds, a kid in a furry costume was filming a video, with a tripod in the middle of the empty parking lot.
They asked how much I used to party back in the Stone Age. Well girls, I can’t properly convey that experience without the word epic, and I have never been more thankful to have done that without cell phones and social media than tonight.
I raise a toast to any old farts and cougars who think the same.
