A24 is reportedly spending nearly $200 million on its Elden Ring movie, by far the most expensive film the studio has ever produced.
For comparison, A24’s previous record was Marty Supreme, with a budget of around $70 million.
The Elden Ring adaptation is planned for 2028 and represents a massive jump in scale for a studio best known for independent and unconventional movies.
A24 has also grown into a major industry brand, valued at around $3.5 billion as of 2024.

Private equity killed Bioware because they made multiple bad games that didn't sell
The reason why they didn't sell is what should be discussed, not blaming basic business
If Veilguard had the success of Crimson Desert or Baldurs Gate 3, they wouldn't have shut down the studio
So 4 elden rings worth. Nice.
Gears of War: E-Day reportedly cost over $500 million to develop, excluding marketing.
A source familiar with Xbox’s business says the budget exceeds earlier reports of over $400 million.
Alinea Analytics estimates around 230,000 copies sold in the first week, generating about $37 million. Microsoft has not yet released official sales or player numbers.
A PS5 release probably wouldn’t have solved the problem. Gears of War: Reloaded sold 684,000 copies on PS5, which would have added roughly $33 million in revenue for E-Day after platform fees.
If true, the studio is cooked, Asha is coming for them.

🚨 BOBBY LEE TRIED TO OPEN UP ABOUT A CHILDHOOD TRAUMA… AND ANDREW SANTINO COULDN’T GET THROUGH THE FIRST SENTENCE. 💀
This might be one of the most chaotic moments in Bad Friends history.
Bobby started sharing a serious account of being sexually abused when he was nine.
But Andrew was so caught off guard by the sudden change in conversation that he struggled to keep a straight face.
Bobby immediately warned him:
“I’m gonna say it again, and if you smile, I’m gonna leave.”
They tried restarting.
Again.
And again. 😭
Every time Andrew thought he was ready, Bobby added another unexpected detail.
First, it was “brutally.”
Then came “every day for a summer.”
Andrew completely lost his composure.
“You can’t throw shit in there!”
Bobby eventually agreed to stop introducing new details so Andrew could prepare himself.
The absurdity wasn’t the trauma itself. It was watching two comedians repeatedly fail to navigate an incredibly serious conversation.
Have you ever laughed at the worst possible moment simply because you didn’t know how to react?
