Why can't they even add a stop halfway there at an EV charger?

The backseat driver is now built-in.

To be honest, that feature should have already been launched like 2 years ago.

its about time!

Reporting a traffic incident or finding parking just by talking, right inside Google Maps on CarPlay, is the kind of help that keeps eyes on the road. Trying it on my next drive.

When will Carpool Lane navigation be added?

"gemini, can we take a route that has less human poop?

asking Gemini for parking and getting hit with a polite preamble while you blow right past the exit.

I love using ai, I love using map products; However, I lose my mind trying to use voice AI products and refuse to even try it any more by any provider. I won't even use the voice guidance in maps, it hurts my brain.

Finally someone else to blame for the missed exit.
317
Finally a navigator that won't sigh when I miss the exit for the third time.

conversational navigation is exactly where Gemini makes sense. finding parking or changing routes without tapping through menus is a real upgrade.

When Gemini picks parking, include the walk in the ETA so a faster drive doesn't turn into a later arrival.

Asking Gemini to find parking is the most honest AI benchmark I've seen. If it finds a free spot in central London at 6pm, I'll call it AGI.

finding parking is the one thing i actually want from a car assistant, hope it beats plain search

Finally, a navigator that can explain in complete sentences why we're in a lake.

First time Google Maps has any voice assistant on the CarPlay screen. Still no Personal Intelligence though, Android Auto got that yesterday.

being able to ask about parking or change plans without navigating menus is a life saver!

Google Maps is a tougher voice test than a chatbot. Every extra turn asks a driver to split attention.

But why ?

Talking to your car about where to park used to be a sign of a rough day. Now it's a feature.

“Find somewhere to park” is useful. “Explain gently why the space I just drove past was perfectly adequate” is the advanced tier.

Here’s my real test: “I’m running 10 minutes late, need somewhere legal to park, and can’t afford another wrong turn.” If Gemini can sort that out without me touching the screen, I’m sold. That’s the kind of AI people actually need while driving.

これ、ドライブ中にArgonの枠が尽きて、Flash-Liteになったりするのかな…… 一抹の不安。 （まだ使ってません）

Reporting traffic incidents mid-drive by voice is where this really earns its spot 🔥

Bu arada CarPlay'deki Haritalar'a gelen ilk sesli asistan Gemini oldu. Şimdilik ABD'de, diğer ülkelere de yavaş yavaş açılıyormuş. Türkiye'ye ne zaman gelir acaba?
71
is this rolling out in Europe too? I'd love to try it in Prague, where finding legal parking is basically a sport

@GROK perche ci hanno messo cosi tanto?

今すぐGeminiを首にして、以前の音声認識に戻せ。 以前の音声認識では案内出来ていた目的地をGeminiは探せない。 ポンコツGeminiをユーザーに押し付けるな！
