Immigration policy must be driven by the present, not the past, and business leaders are too terrified of the left AND the right to acknowledge this. Recent H1B discourse revolves around a longstanding immigration sleight-of-hand. H1B proponents point to exceptional people who came here decades ago as if they represent the current state of the program in the same way that advocates for low-skill/illegal immigration point to very favorable immigrant crime/welfare/education/etc statistics that do, in truth, have them beating native-born Americans on many fronts. It is all a sham. The world that created those statistics, people, and businesses no longer exists. Brilliant but desperate Vietnamese fathers who fled communism have nothing in common with young men from Honduras, and the crime rates/economic acccomplishments/integration of the former should not be used to justify mass migration of the latter. Nor should the accomplishments of people who managed to get an H1B visa in the 90s (when the program was capped to just 65,000 visas) be used to justify staffing agencies and tech companies using the program to replace American jobs for less money. The obvious abuse going on is politically suicidal and something that even the most ardent supporters of the visa should want to crack down on, no immigration program can possibly survive the obvious and widely known reality of what is going on. I am a longtime outspoken advocate for stealing the best people from other countries to make our own better, runaway abuse of existing programs robs the government of the worker trust required to do so. Lots of people in the tech space know this. Even the dumb people are smart enough to see it. Nobody actually believes these are all incredible people with unique talents performing jobs no American can. Everyone knows the guy in Cubicle Bay 7 doing mediocre but functional web design for half the salary of his American peers is no savant and doesn't meet the statutory requirements for his H-1B visa. Unfortunately, most people with power or profile are terrified that any public statement or acknowledgement will get them attacked by the right (You guys have been screwing over American workers for years with visa abuse, you damn hypocrite!) or the left (You are racist, sexist, misogynist, and sucking up to this fascist administration!). Or, more likely, both. I know too many tech execs in particular who feel trapped, like the only winning move is to stay silent. JD is blowing the whole thing wide open by putting facts and stats front and center that nobody wants to engage with. Critics will talk about anything and everything else but these damning facts and this obvious truth, that H1B visas serve neither their original purpose, legal purpose, invented purpose, or the American people.
Vice President JD Vance breaks down the data: "If you are working as an H-1B visa in the United States of America, you’re earning $20,000 less than an American citizen hired in the same position. If you were brought in by one of these foreign outsourcing firms, you’re making $48,000 less than an American citizen in a similar position. So I’m sure that everybody here understands the game that is being played. You bring in indentured servants from outside the country, you lay off American workers and, if you’re a corporation, you make a ton of money by under cutting the wages of American workers, replacing them with people who frankly shouldn’t be in the United States of America to begin with."

While Jews are being hounded in the Bronx, the grifter Brad Lander and the dirtbag "T'ruah rabbis" are creating propaganda for the Palestine Cult hate machine on the West Bank.
Earlier this month, Pal-Awda boasted about forcing a Jewish community event out of Queens. Now the group has set its sights on Riverdale, targeting Jewish families in our borough simply for gathering together. Riverdale is home to one of the most vibrant Jewish communities in New York, and its families deserve to come together without fear. Organizing a campaign to hunt down these gatherings and drive them out of our neighborhoods is an attack on Jewish New Yorkers. Pushing anyone out of public life in our city because of their faith is nothing to celebrate, and the Bronx will not tolerate it.

"She (Ihan Omar) will be a slave of a slave." Royce White grew up in the Twin Cities with Somalis. He says when Somalis first came here they were not what they are today culturally. They were hardworking & happy to be in this country... but over time when you put people on government subsidies and promote radical islam over your own American heritage and culture, you embolden these people to become bitter and hateful. This was a fantastic interview! Watch the full video on Youtube.

It's actually not a miracle, it's very simple. Tokyo is clean and safe because it's full of Japanese. Seoul is clean and safe because it's full of Koreans. Ask yourself what the filthiest and most dangerous cities are, and who inhabits them?
It is a rare miracle in human history that Tokyo, a massive metropolis with a population of 30 million, is clean and safe throughout, with virtually no slums or dangerous districts.

DDR5 RAM prices are going up again. A US system builder says its supplier has announced another 10–15% price increase for DDR5 memory, with the new prices taking effect this week. This comes after months of already massive RAM price increases. 32GB DDR5 kits that once cost around €100 can now cost several times more. If you’re planning a PC upgrade, RAM prices probably aren’t going to get cheaper anytime soon.

CCP-linked nonprofit networks are exploiting U.S. laws to fuel division and anger in America’s public debates. Many are primarily funded by Neville Roy Singham, a U.S. citizen living in China who has funneled hundreds of millions of dollars into U.S. advocacy groups. Last month, Chairman @RepMoolenaar and @RepJasonSmith sent a letter to @USTreasury, @SecScottBessent, and IRS CEO Frank Bisignano requesting an investigation into these organizations.

My American friend in Tokyo asked how far I drive to see my parents. "Two hours," I said. "Oh nice. So they live close." Close?? In Japan, two hours is a trip. We stop at a rest area. We buy souvenirs. We text the family "we made it." Tokyo to Osaka is about 6 hours by car. Japanese people talk about that drive like it was the Oregon Trail. Then he casually mentioned he once drove 14 hours. For a wedding. And drove back the next day. So I need to hear this from more of you. What's the longest drive you've ever done in one go? From where to where? 🚗 (Texans: "Texas to Texas" counts.)

"Other for-profit companies put workers on the non-profit’s payroll. The pay stub said the non profit name. The person worked somewhere else as a contractor. H-1B and others moved through that door.. [without] limit"
**Engineering Wednesday** Working as Chief Engineer at a non-profit defense contractor that said it wanted to commercialize its intellectual property was a trip. Tens of thousands of employees. Almost all of them had only ever worked at similar places. Every quarterly meeting stressed charging every hour the government had approved. Coming in under the hours was worse than going over. Those hours were the business model. If you did not charge them, you were taking profit out of the company. The employees? Imagine going from High School, to a college lab degree, to a job that was identical to what you did in college. Zero understanding of market forces or paying for yourself through your work and customer satisfaction. This is how a large segment of our society works including our media. The CEO and the upper staff of this 'non-profit' had million-dollar salaries that depended on everyone charging the hours. Meanwhile, they set aside 10% of their earnings to lobby for more business from the government from both sides of the aisle. As a non-profit they could also sit in the middle. Other for-profit companies put workers on the non-profit’s payroll. The pay stub said the non profit name. The person worked somewhere else as a contractor. H-1B and others moved through that door and there was no limit and all sorts of exclusions that extend to non-profits that the for profits pay a simple 10% pass-through for. I started a daily scrum and asked the normal questions. What did you do yesterday. What are you doing today. What is blocking you. Similar to Elon's bullet points. I was told I was not a fit for the culture. The project I was asked to deploy in two years was ready in three months. The two-million-dollar budget came in at sixty-five thousand. Management could not argue with the result. The first deployment was supposed to be a demonstration. I got an actual customer to pay for it. The non-profit had no system to receive the check. They were confused because I had actually delivered on the job they hired me to do. They promoted me and said there were more projects and products. Then people pulled me aside and explained what you can and cannot do with intellectual property the government funded. That was the limit I had not fully seen. That is another story but you already know, I did the ethical thing. The pattern is the same one that shows up in other organizations. A product is only valuable if the people running the place get their share. Shareholders and the public are downstream. If something could make the organization a trillion dollars and put nothing extra in the CEO’s or the board’s account, it does not get launched. Question: Who else has seen both the commercial and government/non-profit side of the business and did I capture it?
