Today, we welcomed the Director General of Meteo Rwanda @AimableGahigi to our office, where he joined our CEO @TeddyMugabo_ to formalise the handover of three automatic weather stations installed through @GreenGicumbi Project.
These stations collect local weather and soil data to help inform climate monitoring and agricultural planning. With @MeteoRwanda taking responsibility for their management and maintenance, this investment will continue to support the communities it was established to serve.

Our CEO @TeddyMugabo_ welcomed @UNDP_Rwanda Resident Representative @FatmataLSesay to our Green @GreenGicumbi project to showcase the changes taking shape in communities, alongside Gicumbi Vice Mayor for Economic Development, @parfaiteuwera.
From beekeeping cooperatives building honey businesses to families making a home in a green model village after moving from high-risk zones, the visit brought the people behind the project’s progress into focus.
These stories show what climate resilience means in everyday life: a safer place to live, an opportunity to earn a living and land that can support future generations.

At the Carbon Market Africa Summit, our CEO Teddy Mugabo joined the panel, “Rwanda’s Sustainable Finance Roadmap 2.0 From Frameworks to Investable Deals.”
She highlighted how blended finance, through facilities such as Ireme Invest, can help businesses prepare for investment, reduce risks and attract private capital. She also emphasised the need for patient financing to support businesses as they grow beyond grants.
The discussion explored how credible carbon revenues can strengthen project viability, while delivering climate benefits and value for Rwanda and local communities.

Yesterday, Our CEO Teddy Mugabo joined the Carbon Markets Africa Summit panel, “What Are Investors Actually Funding and Why?”
She highlighted a critical financing gap that developers need funding to prepare credible carbon projects, while investors often wait until those projects are ready for investment.
Bridging that gap requires patient capital, strong project preparation and shared risk across public funds, development partners, developers and investors.
“If we want more investable African carbon projects, someone must invest in making them investable.”

Growing a climate-smart business takes a good idea, the right support and access to investment.
Through @iremeinvest and our partnership with @ImpactSFHub, we are helping agribusinesses in Rwanda take that next step developing solutions that help farmers manage water, access practical advice and reduce losses after harvest.
Across the Rwanda Adaptation Accelerator Programme and the #AgriTech4Rwanda Innovation Challenge, 43 businesses have received support, including 14 funded. Their work is reaching farmers and supporting jobs, showing how investing in local innovation can build climate resilience.

This week, as part of the #IntegoFacility’s ongoing projects, we joined a joint LuxDev and @KfW mission, led by a representative from LuxDev Headquarters, for a field visit to the Base Catchment Restoration Project in @rulindodistrict.
Discussions with Rulindo District authorities provided an overview of progress to date. At the project sites, we witnessed how plans are being translated into tangible outputs on the ground, with local community members sharing how the catchment restoration work is benefiting their area and creating employment opportunities.
Seeing the work first-hand brought a fresh perspective to our conversations about progress and what comes next.
