NRA and SAF Urge Fifth Circuit to Limit Lifetime Gun Bans to Dangerous Offenders The NRA and Second Amendment Foundation told the Fifth Circuit in United States v. Cordova that historical tradition supports lifetime firearm prohibitions only for people who pose a proven threat of violence, not for nonviolent felons. gunstuff.tv/nra-and-saf-urge… #2A #GunRights #GunStuffTV

August 1, 2026 SB25-003 took effect in Colorado, which is a ban on semiautomatic firearms that are magazine fed and gas powered. In order to obtain these firearms, you need to apply for a permit to purchase, which is a ‘may issue’ process determined by your chosen Sheriff’s office in Colorado. Often when I have spoken out about this process the feedback I received was, “Thats unconstitutional” and “not legal - will get turned over by the feds” and “I’ll just go out of state and buy”. Yesterday I came across this image on facebook of a gun shop in Wyoming. Because you have be held to the laws of your issued state ID, unless you are a resident of a ‘free’ state, other states cannot and will not sell Coloradans semi auto mag fed gas powered firearms. Many are choosing not to sell anything to a Coloradan at all. Why is this happening? INSERT HURTFUL TRUTH HERE: Because Colorado gun owners have become lazy, uninvolved and apathetic to protecting and defending the 2A. I educate Colorado citizens on concealed carry, renewals, basic pistol and plenty more every week multiple times a week and let me tell you that these people have no clue what laws have changed or anything that is happening at the state Capitol. In 6 years of teaching, I have only ever encountered 5 people who knew the names of their state senator or house representative. The ‘shall not be infringed’ mindset has always been the common community outcry while the anti gun movement slowly and consistently chipped away at the human and civil rights of the people. This is the result. Ironically, SB25-003 requirements do not apply to non residents- yes you read that correctly. Wyoming residents can come here and buy what CPW are referring to as ‘specified semi automatic firearms (ssf)’ as long as they wait the 72 hours and pass the CBI background check. Most Colorado gun groups who are supposed to be standing for the 2A are not making any progress with flipping seats in the legislature, with lawsuits or community engagement. Most 2A organizations are conservative, republican, right leaning groups which doesn’t resonate with the mass majority of Colorado. National groups aside from the NRA have little to zero involvement in Colorado. I suspect there is a conflict of ‘turf’ as I have been told by many. The 2nd Amendment is not political affiliation but a natural, human right. The 2nd Amendment does not give you the right to keep and bear arms. IT AFFIRMS IT. It states that WE THE PEOPLE have God given right to survival and defense. We have a right to hold tyranny accountable and to ensure no one can force or impose harmful will upon us. We have a duty to defend freedom. I have created a non profit, Colorado Cares for Safety - a non partisan 501c3 dedicated to educating and enriching Colorado communities not only on firearms but all risk management solutions. Political party, social class, race, veteran status or age should not be barriers prohibiting Coloradans from education, safe storage, life saving emergency medical training and situational awareness. Our people deserve non bias non partisan education and resources, letting the people decide what is best and essential for themselves. Check out Colorado Cares For Safety. Its time we enlighten and educate our communities about the true values and meaning of risk management and life preservation skills. There are no other freedoms if you cannot defend them.

When I started @xx_xyathletics 2 1/2 years ago, I could never have predicted that people would respond this way. I just wanted to provide a brand that actually stands up for women instead of the pretend nonsense Nike and all the others do. I'm still stunned every single day that a statement of fact -- there are two sexes (therefore women deserve their own sports & spaces) -- produces this kind of mob rage. It's truly deranged.
This is what happens in Portland OR if you wear @xx_xyathletics to an @NWSL @ThornsFC game.

Imagine paying a political consulting firm to record and produce an ad, but nobody bothers to fact check anything you say. What he’s demonstrating here is already a federal crime. What a joke.
As a Marine and dad, I’m voting Yes on 9 to keep assault weapons off our streets.

Presidential pardon recipients still barred from buying guns The Federal Bureau of Investigation has denied recent firearm purchases by both Pastor Russell Fincher and Patrick “Tate” Adamiak who were each pardoned by President Donald L. Trump nearly two months ago. Adamiak tried to purchase an Auto-Ordnance semi-automatic Thompson, which had engraved images of President Trump. Fincher tried to buy a Smith & Wesson Victory handgun. Each completed an ATF Form 4473, but each was denied by the FBI. Both Adamik and Pastor Fincher received Presidential pardons, which were signed by President Trump Sept. 3, 2026, but neither man’s Second Amendment rights appear to have been fully restored. ATF Director Robert Cekada was quick to point out that his agency had nothing to do with the denials. “I am fully aware of that, but it has nothing to do with us,” Cekada said Friday morning. “We don’t block anybody. The 4473 goes to the FBI. Anyone who gets a denial on a background check gets denied by the FBI.” The FBI requires members of the media to submit their question via email. Questions were sent Friday morning, but so far, the agency has not called or sent a response. “It’s frustrating,” Fincher said Friday morning. He ordered the Smith & Wesson handgun through a local dealer. “I told him he’s going to have to sell it to someone else,” Fincher said. “If I want to buy a firearm, I guess now I have to buy it from an individual.” Adamiak said he also experienced problems with a denial by the Pennsylvania State Police instant background check system. “I filled out an appeal and mailed it to the state,” he said. “They won’t accept digital submissions, and they have up to 30 days to make a decision.” The state and federal systems are not communicating, he said. “We’re both cleared,” Adamiak said. “Every day we can’t get a firearm is a day we can’t defend ourselves. Our Second Amendment rights are being violated. We each have presidential pardons.” The Second Amendment Foundation’s Investigative Journalism Project wouldn’t be possible without you. In a case we are watching, Judge Sinatra in the Western District of New York has granted summary judgment to the plaintiffs, including Firearms Policy Coalition, finding that New York’s ban on the purchase and sale of body armor violates the Second Amendment. Judge Sinatra has granted an injunction preventing the enforcement of the ban, but has also granted a 14 day stay of that injunction pending appeal.
