Big clubs don’t sue over opinions, this does more damage to Villa than anything Carragher has or will ever say about the club.
The problem with Carragher's comments is that people who don't follow the Premier League closely might assume we're just a small club with no real ambition and any team can just take our manager from us #avfc

Should’ve been more but Max always gets leniency that other drivers aren’t afforded. It’s also a joke that Lawson got the same punishment for not doing a lot wrong.
🚨 | BREAKING: Max Verstappen has been awarded a one-place grid penalty for his incident with Liam Lawson in FP2. One penalty point has also been added to his Superlicense.

This is embarrassing.
Aston Villa will initiate legal action against Jamie Carragher for his unacceptable insults about the Club and its fans. Aston Villa will not allow anyone to stop our ascension in English and European football. Nassef Sawiris, Chairman

Presuming this is largely because of the fan reaction to him and then the players after the game against Bournemouth. He should never have been given the role full time and should be sacked, all this does is waste time for the next person.
🚨 Michael Carrick will be given chance to turn results around. Carrick is taking training at Carrington, staff + players preparing #MUFC for Saturday trip to Chelsea. More @TheAthleticFC soon.

Messi and Rodri top 5 purely for their World Cup performances shows how meaningless this trophy is
🟡 The top 10 of the 2025-2026 Men's Ballon d'Or rankings: 10 - Fabian Ruiz 9 - Michael Olise 8 - Erling Haaland 7 - Ousmane Dembélé 6 - Khvicha Kvaratskhelia 5 - Lionel Messi 4 - Rodri 🥉 - Lamine Yamal 🥈 - Kylian Mbappé 🥇 - Harry Kane

Fully deserved, with his numbers it shouldn’t have even been a debate.

Messi simply breathes and he has people giving him awards for it, just look at some of his Ballon d’Or wins as examples.
The concept of Jude Bellingham finishing 11th in Ballon d’Or ranking after a great World Cup and Lionel Messi finishing in top 10 and potentially make top 5 because of the ‘World Cup’ is hilarious.

The reality of the "independent" review telling every school in England to adopt the IHRA definition of antisemitism: its author, Sir David Bell, was being paid by a government agency while he wrote it, and a pro-Israel charity has listed him on its council for ten years. The government told the public he was "independent of Government" and had "no conflict of interest". Neither is true. What we found: - Bell was paid £20,000 a year as vice-chair of Skills England, a government agency, in a seat the Department for Education gave him. He held it until August, through most of the review. - The Academic Study Group on Israel and the Middle East has listed him on its council since at least 2016. Its website says its one firm policy is opposing boycotts of Israel. It gives talks on Israel in schools, which is exactly what his review was asked to judge. - In 2005, as chief inspector of schools, he singled out Muslim schools as a challenge to "our coherence as a nation". The chairman of the Association of Muslim Schools called it Islamophobia, and his own inspectors said he had presented a personal view as inspection evidence. Then we followed the money: - The department's £1.3 million antisemitism training contract had one bidder, according to the tender record. It went to Palace Yard, a company set up in 2022 by the former Labour MP Natascha Engel. - That contract says all its training must use the IHRA definition "as a foundation". It was signed eight months before Bell was appointed. His review then recommended IHRA. - Two of the people who advised Bell, from Partnerships for Jewish Schools and the Antisemitism Policy Trust, now sit on the group putting his recommendations into practice. - The Union of Jewish Students, also on that group, holds a contract worth almost £1 million to train universities. Its own policies include "UJS to advocate for Israel within UK Policy and International Law". - UK Lawyers for Israel* (UKLFI) and the Campaign Against Antisemitism* (CAA) both say the review adopted their recommendations. *For context, UKLFI once justified the starvation of Palestinians in Gaza by the Israeli occupation as "good for obesity". Both these groups have staunchly defended Israel throughout its perpetration of a genocide in Gaza, and regularly conflate Jewish people with the apartheid state. This matters because the review decides how every school treats what pupils and teachers say about Israel, and the IHRA definition it recommends treats some criticism of Israel as antisemitic. A review with that power should come from someone with no pay from government and no tie to a pro-Israel charity. Bell had both. The government put one in a footnote and left the other out. We mapped every link, each with its source, explaining just how far this review is from "independent": newscord.org/editorials/davi…

Nothing stopping people showing up to ask questions of the leadership (lack of), rather than their pre organised topics which do nothing for the actual reality the club is in #LCFC

Outrageously bad when you yourself aren’t performing to the levels you should and the squad as a whole has been wank. Carrick is out of his depth and United should’ve made more signings but the comments from players are a deflection from their poor standards and results.
🚨🗣️ Bruno Fernandes calling out Carrick & the backroom staff: "It's a decision from the staff to not press man to man and sometimes leave space behind and try to get the ball, wait for them, but sometimes when you give space to these teams they get confidence." 🗣️ Bruno on whether he is saying Michael Carrick got his tactics wrong: "That's on the manager and staff to see, not me. Sometimes you have to be more brave under pressure, take the risk of pressing high and making them uncomfortable. As you saw with them [Como], the centre-back was coming to mark me in my own half. We need to do that as a team but we were unable to." 🗣️ Bruno: "A team that plays through the middle with small connections, if you give them too much time and space then they can hurt you out wide."

Greatest goalscorer of all time doesn’t attack the box well, okay. People can have genuine complaints about CR7 but this is just another person using his name to try and improve their own reputation.
Oh my god this is absolutely awful from Ronaldo 😳😳😳
