E153: The Great Capital Shift: Bitcoin, AI, & The Importance of Personal Branding w/ @RobinSeyr
@RobinSeyr is one of the hardest-working Bitcoin podcasters in the space. His mission is clear:
"I will not shut up about Bitcoin until it’s the base layer of the financial industry."

Mining isn't solving a math problem. It's guessing.
Miners change one number, hash the block, and check if the result is low enough. Trillions of guesses a second, worldwide.
The winner isn't the smartest. Just the one who guessed right.
Bitcoin Twitter went crazy: @GrantCardone's $1M bet that BTC hits a new high by 2028 just cleared 1.5M views. @brian_armstrong wants an inverse-Calacanis index. @BitcoinMagazine dropped Bitwise's $1.6M target and Hagerty on the US reserve.
Also in the mix: @dotkrueger's matching $1M bet and @Cointelegraph on public cos stacking 1.3M BTC.
Senator Bill Hagerty says growing America's ~200,000 BTC reserve "could come very soon" once the Clarity Act gets done.
The catch: no new deficit spending. Meanwhile Bitcoin slipped under $80K and $356M in bets got wiped.

"Easy and secure are almost like two different ends of a spectrum." Buying IBIT is easy. Holding your own stack securely and privately isn't. @shaunsomers on self custody.
So who owns Bitcoin's ledger? Nobody, and everybody.
No company holds it. No government can seize the master copy, because there is no master copy. Every full node has the whole thing.
That's what collectively owned actually means.
BlackRock's Bitcoin ETF just pulled in $261.8M in two days. All spot Bitcoin ETFs: +$286.3M, right after ~$774M walked out.

Galaxy just called it: Bitcoin's bear market ended in June.
Spot ETFs added ~87,000 BTC since the low, and Alex Thorn sees no reason BTC can't retake $125K. His tripwire: a weekly close under ~$76.5K.

Back to the ledger idea.
Your bank keeps its own books and asks you to trust them. Bitcoin flips that. Thousands of nodes keep the same books, check every entry, and reject anything that doesn't add up.
Verification replaces trust.
Saylor's Strategy bought 0 BTC this week and spent $204.9M buying back $STRC instead.
Matt Cole's Strive bought 6,182 BTC for $511.4M. Saylor's reply: "Congratulations."
