For an entire week, the donations stopped completelyโnot because our needs stopped, but because my account restriction cut me off from the people who were supporting me.

We haven't received any donations for a week.
Iโm not blaming anyone, and Iโm not asking anyone to do something against their will, but honestly, this has been one of the hardest weeks for me.
My Twitter account has been restricted since Friday, and Iโve been very sick. On top of that, I received almost no donations throughout the entire week. The hardest part was watching the days go by while constantly worrying about how I would provide food for my children.
But what truly broke me wasnโt just the lack of donations. It was the feeling that the people I considered my support had suddenly become so distant. My friends who used to regularly quote and share my postsโthis week, I saw only one quote, as if the Basheer you knew and supported had suddenly disappeared. ๐
Iโm not asking for anything impossible, and Iโm not asking you for money. Sometimes, simply quoting a post, saying a few words, or reminding people that there is a family waiting for help can make a much bigger difference than you realize.
Maybe to you, itโs just another post on Twitter. But to me, it could be the difference between being able to provide food for my children and standing helplessly in front of them.
I just wish I didnโt feel forgotten when my account stopped reaching people.
The hardest thing isnโt going through a crisisโitโs realizing that youโre facing it alone while the people you thought would never leave you have gone silent.

I donโt understand the point of advertising scholarships that list Palestine as an eligible country, making it seem that Palestinian students are genuinely welcome to apply, only to have some of them rejected at the visa stage after spending so much time, effort, and money preparing their applications. Sadly, this has happened to several students with scholarships in Ireland and Belgium, among others.
