Mick Gordon says he would return to DOOM “in a heartbeat” if the right conditions were met.
The composer behind DOOM (2016) and DOOM Eternal still has ideas for where he would take the series next.
Gordon’s relationship with id Software broke down after DOOM Eternal, following a public dispute over the game’s soundtrack, including allegations of unpaid work and mistreatment.
Despite everything that happened, he hasn’t lost his passion for DOOM.

Fun fact: SEGA used so many resources baking the lighting for this game that their power went out multiple times. They dedicated several office hours where appliance use was banned so as not to trigger circuit breaks.
