HOW LULA PULLED OFF A SHOCK ELECTION VICTORY BY 4 MILLION VOTES
Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva has secured a historic reelection, defeating far-right challenger Flávio Bolsonaro by more than 4 million votes in a stunning political comeback.
After trailing Bolsonaro in the first round, Lula reversed the results with nearly 52% of the vote, as millions more Brazilians participated in the runoff and Lula gained more than 10 million votes. His victory followed widespread mobilisation by labour organisations, students, social movements, and working-class communities.
Meanwhile, Flávio Bolsonaro's defeat comes amid mounting legal scrutiny. His father, Jair Bolsonaro, was convicted over a failed coup plot following the 2022 election, while Flávio faces investigations involving alleged financial misconduct and other irregularities. He denies the accusations.
After his defeat, Flávio initially refused to accept the results and threatened to seek annulment, but his allies convinced him to accept them. Brazil's Supreme Court subsequently ordered him to surrender his passports amid ongoing investigations.
In Washington, Donald Trump echoed allegations of electoral fraud without presenting evidence, underscoring the Bolsonaro family's close political ties to the American right.
Financial markets also reacted sharply, as Brazil’s stocks plunged nearly 14%, while the real fell more than 8%, reflecting investor concerns over Lula's economic agenda and the rejection of Bolsonaro's market-focused policies.
As Latin America's largest economy and a BRICS founder, Brazil sits at the centre of global tensions over U.S. and Chinese influence, economic resources, and technology.
Lula's backing of Global South cooperation and Palestinian rights contrasts with the Bolsonaro family's pro-U.S. and pro-Israel stance. Despite a conservative Congress, Lula's win is a significant shift for Brazil and the region.

Meanwhile national media personalities and political figures are spewing racist vitriol against Abdul, the US president proudly declared Somali’s have low IQ after terrorizing their communities with ICE, and the Secretary of health went on an anti Arab tirade yesterday while both parties continue backing an anti-Palestinian genocide.

Can we stop talking about "former" intelligence agents and the podcast drama between them and maybe focus on real issues that matter?
How about "independent" media covers the many disturbing developments courtesy of the government (and the broader global governance structure) is currently doing, which in many areas is drastically under-reported, and try and hold actual power to account instead of reality TV-style mudslinging. Isn't it supposed to be different than mainstream media?
In the event these people don't still work for intelligence, they are doing their work of divide and conquer and distract for them. I for one am tired of having this dramaslop algorithmically thrown at me.

this Apartheid era propaganda video makes history feel like a series of copy/paste commands.
Today, you'll be flooded with Israeli propaganda about "we're a true democracy, not an apartheid"
All of their talking points are copied from Apartheid South Africa's propaganda (watch👇)
Apartheid South Africa's Tricameral Parliament was 42% colored & Indian in 1983, after the regime allowed 2.8 million colored & 850,000 Indian citizens to vote (while excluding 22.7 million black South Africans). Colored representatives even held ministerial positions, but without portfolios (i.e. no real power).
This is just like Israel allowing 2 million Palestinian citizens to vote while excluding 6 million in the occupied territory & 8 million in exile. The less than 15% of Israel's Knesset that is Arab are excluded from power (both Netanyahu & the opposition parties refuse to form a government with Arab parties).
Apartheid South Africa had black policemen, soldiers, engineers, doctors, & professors whom they loved to show in propaganda videos to claim "we're a cosmopolitan society". But that was only a fig leaf to hide the disenfranchisement of the overwhelming majority of blacks.
Apartheid South Africa also claimed a God-given right to the land. They also screamed "we're facing an existential threat" & are "surrounded by enemies who want to destroy us".
They also bragged "we're the only democracy in Africa", "we have Western values", "we're the only industrialized state in Africa", "we're one of the 20 most developed states on earth"... It was still an Apartheid!

Israel's elections is still not final. The Likud party has the majority but no side can form a government. benjamin netanyahu did not declare victory.
Non final results:
Netanyahu’s right-wing/religious bloc: roughly 50–52 seats (down sharply from 64 in 2022).
Opposition/“change” bloc (led by Gadi Eisenkot’s Yashar): roughly 49–53 seats.
Arab parties (Joint List + Ra’am): 16–19 seats (up significantly from 10 in 2022, driven by high turnout).
Netanyahu is demonising the Arab parties, all holding an Israeli ID, saying that relying (for Eisenkot camp) on the Arabs means a destruction of Israel.
This is a clear indication that even if the Arabs are Israeli, they will never be considered part of Israel.
If netanyahu and his coalition reach the majority without reaching 61 seats, he will remain prime minister ad interim for many months and will dismantle the opposition and bring some on his side.
The other option: Eisenkot brings the Arab parties in and that is not accepted by his coalition and would push Avigdor Lieberman (and maybe others) away if the final results brings him to the Knesset.
Again: no final results.
