America's money is named after a dead deer. A buck was a deerskin. Through the 1700s hides came out of the backcountry by the hundred thousand, and on the frontier they were the currency. In 1748 a trader in Ohio recorded a cask of whisky changing hands for 5 bucks. When the dollar arrived it took the word, and it has kept it. The scale is the point. In a good year in the 1750s Charleston alone shipped around 150,000 deerskins to London. Add Savannah, Philadelphia and New York and it runs to well over a million skins a decade. Every one had been a deer somebody put a bullet in and ate, most of them Cherokee and Creek hunters, the rest backwoodsmen who had learned from them. In England, at the same time, a man caught armed in a deer park could be hanged under the Black Act, and a labourer with a hare in his coat lost three months' wages to the magistrate. The deer in an English park belonged to the lord. The deer in Pennsylvania belonged to whoever shot it, and the skin bought powder and lead at the store for the next one. A single animal fed a family for a week and paid for its own replacement. That is what the ships were sailing towards. Not an abstraction about liberty. A country where the animal that could get you hanged at home was so plentiful it had become the small change. Every time an American says he is short of a few bucks, he is describing the one shortage his ancestors crossed an ocean to escape.

A law passed in Massachusetts in 1647 still allows you to walk across a stranger's land carrying a gun, provided you are on your way to shoot a duck. The colony's first legal code, in 1641, gave every householder free fishing and fowling. In 1647 it went further. No town could grant any pond larger than ten acres to a private owner. Any man could fish and fowl there, and could pass and repass through any man's property to reach it, so long as he did not trample corn or meadow. It is still the law in Massachusetts and in Maine. The courts have upheld it against furious landowners for nearly four centuries. Consider who wrote it and when. The Puritans left England in the 1630s. In those same years Charles I was reviving the medieval forest law to raise money, redrawing the ancient boundaries and fining whole districts for offences against deer nobody had seen in generations. Only a man with land worth £10 a year could legally hunt at all. The men who drafted the Massachusetts code had watched every pond, river and wood in England become somebody's private larder. So almost the first thing they did with a new country was to write down, in law, that the wild meat in it belonged to everybody, and that no owner's boundary could keep a hungry man from it. We are told they crossed the ocean for freedom of worship. They also wrote freedom to hunt into their first statute book.

I’m a Wyoming rancher, a Navy veteran, and a former Majority Whip — not a cable-news pundit. I care about whether a family can raise and sell food without begging a bureaucracy, whether cattlemen get a fair shake against the Big 4, and whether Cheyenne and D.C. remember who actually feeds this country. If that’s your fight too, stick around. I’ll talk straight, post what I’m seeing on the ground, and call it like I see it. — Tyler Lindholm Sundance, Wyoming

Here’s a calendar to show the days @SpeakerJohnson has cancelled in Congress. September 17 was canceled to avoid a vote on my Hegseth impeachment. The last two weeks in September were canceled to avoid a vote on releasing more Epstein files. He’s closing Congress to stop me.

I saw this coming. I bought the right truck and spent all summer getting it ready. It is time to start making black diesel. My cost is $0.32 a litre. Some of you laughed when I first posted this. Others said it would ruin the truck. Anyone who actually follows me knows I do nothing without a great deal of research. Next step: buy the centrifuge, the 1000L tote and start collecting the used oil from my farmer friends. I will not be held hostage by any government.

After four and a half years and the biggest fight of my life, I am home. I could not have done it without each and every person who stood beside me, spoke my name when I couldn’t speak for myself, shared my story, challenged what was wrong, and simply refused to give up on me. Thank you. I am grateful. To my friends and family. To the thousands of people in our 2A community. To every Second Amendment organization that fought for me, supported me, and refused to let my case be forgotten. To all the journalists who told my story, including @HT_GunWriter. To my legal team, @fuddbusters and @WelchWrightLaw, who stepped up when the full might of the federal government was crushing me. To the six members of Congress who stood with me when it mattered most: @RepEliCrane , @RepEricBurlison, @RepJenKiggans , @RepBresnahan , @RepWebster, and @RepGosar. To the leaders in the administration who helped make this possible. And, last but certainly not least, to President Donald J. Trump @realDonaldTrump for intervening and giving me my life back. There are so many more people I need to thank personally—people who helped, encouraged, prayed, fought, called, wrote, shared, donated, opened doors, or simply refused to let me disappear. I could never name everyone in one post, because there are too many. But please know this: I remember you, and I will never forget what you did for me. I am humbled. I am grateful. And I am home with my family. What happened to me should frighten every law-abiding gun owner, because it can happen to anyone. And there are others. The work has just begun.

Never forget my friends and truth warriors, Gary Webb and Kary Mullis! We’ve never been closer to defeating the Deep State, Matrix, Leviathan! But that doesn’t mean we can slow down, grow complacent, or assume we've already won. Quite the opposite. This is when we triple down. Triple down on communication. Triple down on investigation. Triple down on exposing facts, documenting evidence, connecting the dots, and refusing to let important questions disappear beneath the next news cycle. Momentum means nothing if we stop moving. The closer entrenched institutions come to real scrutiny and accountability, the more important persistence becomes. We keep asking questions. We keep demanding transparency. We keep publishing what we can document. We keep building networks of people willing to think independently and examine the evidence for themselves. No retreat. No complacency. Forward.
CIA is everything in your worse nightmares to the 1,000th power. They likely killed Gary Webb and Kary Mullis.

Pennsylvania has blocked the state's attempt to shut down Amos Miller's Farm. Amos Miller, an Amish farmer in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, had his farm raided by the Department of Agriculture earlier this year, seizing thousands of dollars' worth of food. Yet, despite the raid, the government couldn't provide a single piece of evidence showing that anyone in Pennsylvania—or anywhere else—has ever been harmed by any of Amos Miller's products. This is a powerful win for food freedom and the rights of farmers.

A starter that rode west in a covered wagon in 1847 still rises bread today, mailed free by strangers who never met the man who carried it. Carl Griffith kept the culture alive for seventy years after inheriting it as a boy in Oregon in 1930. After he died in 2000, volunteers formed Carl's Friends and have since mailed out over 100,000 starts to bakers worldwide, free for a stamped envelope. This is living history you can taste. Find bakers keeping tradition alive on Localize.

FDR (filthy socialist) signed a 1937 marketing order law that let USDA run a raisin reserve that later forced growers to physically hand over a share of the crop, often for little or nothing and in typical commie collectivization fashion. When Marvin and Laura Horne refused the 47% demand in 2002–03, the USDA billed them roughly $700,000 for raisins that never left the farm. It took a unanimous 2013 ruling so they could raise the takings defense without paying first, then an 8–1 Roberts opinion in 2015 that the reserve was an unconstitutional taking and they were owed the full value. That finally killed the program.
In 2009, federal prosecutors tried to confiscate a paid off family motel worth over $1 million without charging the owner with a crime, because a handful of guests out of hundreds of thousands got arrested for drugs. They sued the building itself under civil forfeiture, and under equitable sharing the Tewksbury police who referred the case stood to keep up to 80% of the proceeds. In 2013, a federal judge ruled the government never proved he knew about or took part in those isolated crimes. The case became one of the clearest examples of civil asset forfeiture abuse and helped drive state reforms requiring a conviction before police can permanently keep what they seize.
