🇰🇪 A fallen soldier wrapped in the colors of freedom 🇰🇪
Let us not forget what he fought for
The red in our flag represents the blood 🩸 of those who fought for this nation’s freedoms
Let us not forget that sacrifice is very real and real people have given up everything for us
They threw the case so hard he basically walked free
Congratulations to the EACC on your big success

The Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) welcomes the sentencing of former Kiambu Governor Ferdinand Ndung’u Waititu Babayao, his wife and two other individuals and corporate entities following their conviction for money laundering.
The Milimani Anti-Corruption Court imposed fines of up to Kes36 million on the accused persons and companies, with default prison terms ranging from two to 13 years.
The sentences followed a High Court decision delivered on October 14, 2026, which reinstated money laundering charges against Waititu, his wife Susan Wangari Ndung’u, and Charles Chege Mbuthia and his wife Beth Wangechi Mburu who are directors of Testimony Enterprises Limited.
The court imposed the following penalties:
1.Ferdinand Ndung’u Waititu Babayao: A fine of Kes21 million or 13 years’ imprisonment in default.
2.Charles Chege Mbuthia: A fine of Kes28 million or 13 years’ imprisonment in default.
3.Beth Wangechi Mburu: A fine of Kes6 million or six years’ imprisonment in default.
4.Susan Wangari Ndung’u: A fine of Kes2 million or two years’ imprisonment in default.
5.Testimony Enterprises Limited: A fine of Kes36 million.
6.Saika Two Estate (A company owned by Waititu and his wife Susan): A fine of Kes24 million.
The case originated from investigations launched by the Commission in 2019 following allegations that the County Government of Kiambu had irregularly awarded Testimony Enterprises Limited a contract worth Kes588 million for the upgrading of gravel roads to bitumen standards in Thika, Limuru, Gatundu North, Juja and Ruiru sub-counties during the 2017/2018 financial year.
On February 12, 2025, Waititu and his co-accused were convicted of various offences, including conflict of interest, dealing with suspected property, abuse of office, fraudulent procurement practices and wilful failure to comply with procurement laws and regulations.
For these offences, the court imposed the following penalties:
1.Ferdinand Ndung’u Waititu Babayao: 12 years’ imprisonment or a fine of Kes52,749,000.
2.Susan Wangari Ndung’u: One year’s imprisonment or a fine of Kes500,000.
3.Luka Mwangi Wahinya: Seven years’ imprisonment or a fine of Kesmillion.
4.Charles Chege Mbuthia: 11 years’ imprisonment or a fine of Kes297,048,110.
5.Beth Wangechi Mburu: Three years’ imprisonment or a fine of Kes1.4 million.
With the additional penalties imposed for money laundering, the cumulative fines and default custodial sentences for the four individuals are as follows, taking into account the concurrent running of custodial sentences as ordered by the High Court:
1.Ferdinand Ndung’u Waititu Babayao: Kes73,749,000 or 13 years’ imprisonment in default.
2.Susan Wangari Ndung’u: Kes2.5 million or two years’ imprisonment in default.
3.Charles Chege Mbuthia: Kes325,048,110 or 13 years’ imprisonment in default.
4.Beth Wangechi Mburu: Kes7.4 million or six years’ imprisonment in default.
The court further ordered Testimony Enterprises Limited and Saika Two Estate to pay their respective fines within 14 days, failure to which the amounts shall be recovered in accordance with Section 334 of the Criminal Procedure Code.
The case marks a significant milestone in Kenya’s efforts to combat money laundering, strengthen accountability for proceeds of corruption and advance the country’s commitment to addressing deficiencies identified by the Financial Action Task Force (FATF) as it works towards exiting the grey list.
I welcome your welcoming of the withdrawal of Ugandan troops from Somalia
Thank you for your ungratefulness
Somalia can now stand on it’s own feet
Will age like fine milk
Replace the UPDF flag with the Somali flag and the Somali flag with a black one
That’s the future that awaits Mogadishu the instant no body comes to save villa Somalia
They really thought we would die for their wallets forever?
Maybe Turkey will save them
If not we welcome our jubbaland brother and sisters to the Republic of Kenya
A referendum and then full citizenship
Kenya will no tolerate instability on our border any longer !
It is a mistake to abandon villa somalia as East Africa — it will invite Turkish military presence in a big way here if they are absolutely desparate
Villa Somalia must agree to pay and we should deploy East African community forces under the federation with shared cost sharing
Kenya’s security buffer as soon as Mogadishu collapses
The next presidency will have a difficult task ahead of it in terms of our longterm security posture
🇰🇪 should send a message to the rest of our lovely unstable neighbors what the cost of instability on our borders will be
If Mogadishu collapses Kenya must take jubbaland
Nothing must threaten Lamu and our interests there. Absolutely nothing.
Somalia has spent the last 18 years courting Turkey while spitting in our faces despite our sacrifices
That would make all our sacrifices worth it @kdfinfo
I am no oracle but the Saudi monarchy will turn to wahhabism once again to remain in power and secure their interests in the Persian gulf, gulf of Oman, Gulf of Aden, & Red Sea
Wahhabism will enjoy greater state protection & wealth and in return they’ll offer their sacrifices
I suspect many in Saudi Arabia will remember IS as their most potent weapon against Iran instead of the well funded westernized army that has proved ineffective
This will have consequences for the world because Saudi money will bring these people back IRGC style 100%

Omg! What an embarrassment. Uganda 🇺🇬 is effectively saying: for the last 18 years, we have been protecting your capital and your high-value targets, including the presidential compound, parliament, ministry buildings and airport, while supporting Mogadishu. Yet you have failed to use that time to build an indigenous fighting force capable of defending your own country.
The answer to Uganda is that Mogadishu has spent much of those 18 years cannibalising and undermining the very thing that gave it a chance of survival and political revival: #Puntland. Instead of strengthening federalism, Mogadishu has worked relentlessly to destroy it.
Today, without Uganda, the future security of Mogadishu is uncertain. What makes the situation even more extraordinary is Uganda’s apparent position that unless Mogadishu pays what the United States has been contributing, an agreement on continued support may be difficult to reach. This comes after reports that more than 300 SNA troops were wiped out over the past week.
Meanwhile, Villa Somalia is running around praising Turkey 🇹🇷 and treating its security guarantees as some sort of insurance policy against the forces threatening its collapse.
We have seen Turkish weapons fail to deliver the promised results. We have seen Turkish training fail to translate into battlefield effectiveness. We have seen a lack of Turkish support for aerial surveillance, alongside a chain of command undermined by tribalism, nepotism and political interference.
With the United Nations 🇺🇳 ending its mission tomorrow and reports that Uganda could withdraw completely by the end of November, South Somalia is facing a security reality for which it appears dangerously unprepared.
And yet, amid all this, we still have delusional people preaching nationalism while refusing to confront the consequences of the political choices that brought them here.
First time I’ve see anyone buy Mzee discussing matters
Mzee is losing control
CDF Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba asked Gen. Salim Saleh to intervene in Dr. Kizza Besigye’s matter, telling him that “Kizza Besigye’s problem is my problem.” Saleh said the request, made on August 25, gave him an opportunity to reconnect with his former bush war colleague. He later visited Besigye in prison, was alarmed by his condition and facilitated medical attention at the Joint Clinical Research Centre (JCRC), expressing hope for a successful outcome within three to six months.

I think serving in a foreign military &/or intelligence service should be grounds for automatic renunciation of Kenyan citizenship
The struggle over Palestine
Feels like those photos I used to see in old history books
Does Israel really intend to fight to them perpetually?
How many more decades before this matter moves an inch?
Or is history too lmpatient?
This is what it looks like in those bunkers the big wigs in Iran and hezbollah get bombed in
There are enormous risks and being encased in a bunker as a final tomb is right up there
To do this under the thumb of a super power must take an enormous amount of will power
This one is sooo grateful for Museveni he get none
Kenyans are serious 🧐
Wantam all the way but at what cost 😭
Can he really deliver? Should I date to believe?
The brave men of Somali in their abundant manliness took a functional state and destroyed it
So now your women & children must live in foreign nations as refugees getting mistreated
Now your youths blow themselves up
But at least you found out who’s dick was biggest in 1991
