When you look at the basics you have done being transformed into lived realities. Kenya is literally under construction.
Developed concurrently with Shauri Moyo A, the Shauri Moyo B Affordable Housing Project will deliver 4,566 mixed-use housing units, supported by a kindergarten, clubhouse, shopping mall, hospital and swimming pool.
The development is part of the Government's wider Slum Upgrading Programme, which seeks to progressively eradicate informal settlements in Nairobi and replace them with safe, dignified and well-planned urban communities.
The project is generating thousands of employment opportunities for skilled and semi-skilled workers, including engineers, technicians, artisans, contractors, suppliers, transport operators and young people across the construction value chain.
Through the State Department for Internal Security and National Administration, the Government is strengthening local administrative structures and community partnerships to foster an environment in which such transformative projects can take root, progress smoothly and deliver lasting benefits to residents.
I think the biggest question as we near elections next year is what the opposition has to offer. I see a bunch of confused lots who all they know is Ruto Must Go. Even for a second, I don't think Kenya is ready for that gamble with the presidency.
