More great work by @IanMcelree on the importance of bluelight & checking sanctuary sites in post induction HR NMIBC. Esp ๐ when considering multiple rounds of salvage therapy!

We are thrilled to share our recent publication in @EurUrolOncol demonstrating for the first time CHAI based predictive biomarker to guide use of intravesical BCG vs alternatives (chemotherapy). In an era of BCG shortage and new alternatives to BCG incoming, precision medicine based tools to guide intravesical treatment choice will enable improved patient care in bladder cancer.

Fantastic work by super โญ๏ธ @IanMcelree presenting @UIowa_urology data on restaging procedures for NMIBC. An important step when considering multiple salvage intravesical therapies. Keep an eye out for him in this yearโs match! #NCSAUA24

Nice paper @ReubenBenDavid1 @DrJohnSfakianos !! Important to learn optimal Gem/Doce protocol. Data like this on the implications of maintenance are valuable. Anecdotally I have found that 2g Gem in combo regimens has more tol issues @saumyg @RutgersCancer @rwjurology @IanMcelree
Excited about our latest publication!
Gem/Doce induction + maintenance is superior to induction only. The use of 2 grams of gemcitabine improved all grades of recurrence but didn't decrease high-grade recurrences over 1 gram of gemcitabine.
Gem/Doce is gaining grounds in the treatment of NMIBC.

Fantastic work by @IanMcelree (as always!) presenting on BCG vs Gem/Doce in upper tract CIS. Similar outcomes with regards to RFS/NFS/OS. But be careful of the potential for infection!
