Interested community banks are encouraged to consider applying to become, or for a subsidiary to become, a permitted payment stablecoin issuer, as applicable. Early revenue mostly proves you can sell.
It doesn't prove people need the thing.
That's why we're testing with small groups first. A few real people pay real bills, tell us what's clunky, and we fix it before the next group gets in.
The number that matters isn't day one sales. It's whether the people already inside keep coming back, and whether the next group asks for the same fix.
Slow on purpose.
The goal is to be the thing people pull out of our hands, not the thing we have to push.

YC has said this for years, early revenue mostly proves the founders can sell and do unscalable work. It doesn’t prove pmf. The companies that actually take off are the ones that stay extremely close to users, keep experimenting & eventually hit the point where the market pulls the product out of their hands. Absolute numbers on day one are noise compared to that
this week paypal, mastercard and coinbase all report earnings, and I bet "stablecoin" comes up on every call.
i'm counting how many times anyone says "rent" or "electric bill." (probably zero)

From what I saw, it’s like this:
💸 You can pay for rent, card bills, and utilities directly from your USDC balance. The biller won’t even know you’re paying with crypto.
📲 You can send money to a friend via Venmo, Cash App, or PayPal. They don’t need anything extra.
🏦 You can deposit funds using a card, bank transfer, or crypto. You can also withdraw them to a bank account, an app, or on-chain.
🔓 They do not hold your funds (non-custodial), and there are no minimums or queues for withdrawals.
🧾 Each fee is displayed on the screen before payment.
In my opinion, the best part is that it’s accessible even to those who don’t know anything about crypto, since everything is displayed in dollars. The concept of client payment links is also quite useful for creators and freelancers.
