India and the EU have successfully completed negotiations for India’s association with Horizon Europe, the EU’s flagship research and innovation programme. The Embassy of India, Vilnius invites youth of the Indian diaspora in the age group of 21-25 years in Lithuania to participate in an essay writing and social media reel making competition.
Selected top entries will get a unique opportunity to participate in the upcoming Youth Pravasi Bharatiya Divas 2027, to be held in Kolkata, West Bengal, in January 2027.
Theme: “From Roots to Return: Reigniting Connect of Diaspora Youth with Bharat”
Participants may select one of the following formats:
Essay Writing (800 to 1,000 words)
Social Media Reel Making (60 to 90 seconds)

Major decisions taken by Union Cabinet today under the leadership of Prime Minister @narendramodi
➡️ Capex Support Scheme to promote Critical Mineral Processing with a financial outlay of ₹ 2,814 crore for Lithium and Nickel processing approved. Will support critical sectors of electric mobility, Battery Energy Storage System, electronics, defence and speciality steel.
➡️ Continued Centrally Sponsored Scheme for Fast Track Special Courts for expeditious trial of cases of rape and POCSO Act till FY 2030-31. A step forward towards ensuring timely justice for victims of sexual offences.
➡️ Created a pathway for all Agniveers to be absorbed in Defence Forces. 25% of Agniveers will be offered regular employment in the Defence Forces. For the remaining 75% Agniveers, another engagement period of 2 years has been introduced, after which they will be offered enrollment as regular soldiers subject to willingness and their meeting selection criteria.
➡️ Approved Viksit Bharat Initiative for Statistical Transformation, Analytics & Research (VISTAR) Scheme for 2026–27 to 2030–31. Will provide strategic flexibility to dynamically allocate resources, fostering a holistic approach to large-scale survey execution, methodological research, digital transformation, and national data governance.

Bhutan marked a historic milestone with the construction of 108 Buddhist Stupas (Jangchub Chortens) in just nine hours on 1 November 2026.
On this occasion, His Majesty The King and Union Minister Shri @KirenRijiju unveiled a plaque dedicating the 76th Stupa to PM @narendramodi , making this milestone an enduring symbol of the deep spiritual and civilisational bonds between India and Bhutan.

ISRO's GSLV-F18 successfully placed the NVS-03 satellite into its intended orbit yesterday at 11:51 PM IST from Sriharikota. The satellite is designed to ensure continuity and improve the availability of navigation services under India's own NavIC system.
