India had wise leaders like Minoo Masani of the The Swatantra Party who saw where India being led by Nehru/Congress government with Soviet type central planning and license raj. Unfortunately Indians did not realize his wisdom or else we would have really been a superpower today!
These guys were told they would get a job packing food for the army and they were made to sign papers in Russian and were told they were now russian citizens and were being comscripted and sent to the front lines. They are probably dead by now
Extremely sad situation. I hope they setup a warning system at the emigration counters at all indian airport to warn people esp men going for employment to Russia

Its heartbreaking to witness the descent of Andhra Pradesh in to a haven for goons, thugs and antisocial elements. This is the result of state-capture by two family-owned parties that have between them have been trying to restore medieval style feudalism in what was once one of the most progressive states of India.
Key governance institutions have been poisoned by casteism, cronyism, corruption, toxic politicisation, etc. Politics has become the exclusive domain of contractors, mining dons, education and health czars, liquor contractors, pairavikars, goons, with the police acting as the private militia of the party in power.
When political parties see each other as enemies to be annihilated, and elections are nothing but a war to be fought with weapons and cash, it cannot be characterised as democracy. Its demonocracy!
The #SEC conducting the local body elections was the same gentleman removed by the @ECISVEEP as the chief secretary of AP in 2019! It would be a pipe dream to expect free and fair elections in the state.
In more than one way, Andhra Pradesh is showing the way for rest of India to emulate, in the most decadent way, despite the pronouncements of AI, Quantum, World Class City, etc.
I appeal to the people of Andhra Pradesh to recognise the reality and put an end to this criminal enterprise by not voting for either @YSRCParty or the #NDA alliance - @JaiTDP @JanaSenaParty @BJP4Andhra.
Vote for any other public spirited contestant, if any.

As if the credibility crisis of ECI isn't already bad enough, in NDA-ruled Andhra Pradesh poll process for local body polls has been reduced to a violent joke.
Candidates, largely from Opposition YSRCP, blocked, papers snatched away as police stand by. Women candidates have been attacked.
A TDP MLA is caught on camera calling on his cadres to “break the legs” of those coming to file nominations.

The Election Commission was glorified for too long because we loved Seshan's authoritarianism when it came to dealing with politicans. Only now, people are waking up to the fact that the Election Commission is as incompetent as other arms of the state and it was never special.
This is the first time I am observing an election from upclose and i have to say I am quite disgusted by the way the state election machinery is heavily manipulated by the ruling party. I am not saying this is new, but as a first time observer, for me the sheer scale of it is just insane

People are losing trust in the @IndianExpress for their continuing fake narratives and hit jobs .
People have been claiming that in the Vijayawada mayoral election a victory by a huge margin is an absolute certainty and a walk in the park(నల్లేరు మీద బండి నడక) for a certain candidate purely because of their popularity.
Then why distribute cash and liquor to buy people's votes? The TDP-Janasena-BJP coalition is distributing 1000 per person and YSRCP is giving 500
In these videos, you can see people openly distributing cash in Vijayawada across multiple wards
The police are obviously going to turn a blind eye and the less we speak about the joke called the State Election Commission, the better

25 year old Rahul from Adilabad, Telangana works in Pune and came back home for Dusshera.
He was bit by a scorpion yesterday and went to RIMS Hospital for treatment.
Rahul allegedly started filming the way the hospital, doctors and nurses were functioning. His family alleges that the treatment and conditions at the hospital were pathetic.
This apparently led to an argument.
Angered by this, the nurses called the police.
The very dedicated police took him to the station, booked him under nuisance case.
Rahul came back home last night form the police station, wrote a suicide note about how he was treated at the hospital and at the police station & died by suicide!!!
A young life gone too soon for questioning flaws & inadequacies in the system.
